BMC Switzerland has decided to initiate a voluntary recall of Kaius 01 bikes and framesets. A few cases of steerer tube breakage have been brought to their attention.

As part of a more in-depth analysis of the problem, it was identified that the product correctly met industry testing standard requirements, but a small number of gravel racers in real-world conditions encountered problems in certain difficult circumstances, which does not meet and exceeds the standards that BMC imposes on its products.
BMC’s priority is to provide reliable products that meet the highest expectations of professional athletes and cyclists of all levels. With this in mind, BMC has decided to replace the fork in question with a more robust version.
Please stop riding the affected models listed below. Visit your BMC dealer. They will identify if your fork needs to be replaced and will perform the change, if necessary.
