Mendiz has a great legacy in competition and professional cycling, and this partnership is a way to export the history of Eusebio Vélez de Mendizabal and his bikes beyond the Basque Country, beyond borders, to the biggest races in the world.
The three teams of the Euskadi Foundation, namely Euskaltel-Euskadi (Men’s Pro Team), Laboral Kutxa (Women’s Pro Team), and Euskadi Taldea (Foundation’s development team) will ride Mendiz F8 SL and F12 bikes depending on the race profiles.

“Mendiz continues its development beyond Spanish borders and in the world of high-level cycling competitions by partnering with the Euskadi Foundation. The three teams it represents, including the famous Euskaltel-Euskadi, are prestigious, historic teams with great ambitions. Accompanied by the women’s team with Laboral Kutxa and the youth team with Euskadi Taldea, it’s a whole global approach that we support and carry as a true team philosophy,” stated José Luis Gutierrez, CEO of Bicis Mendiz.

The Euskadi Foundation was born in 1993 thanks to a passionate group of cycling enthusiasts with the aim of promoting this sport, but also a true way of life in the Basque Country. The cycling tradition and the success of its riders have risen to the rank of a cultural institution.
It is behind the Euskaltel-Euskadi team, which left its mark on the Tour de France with great victories, but also with the fervor of its fans, the famous orange tide that ignites the road as the riders pass through the Pyrenees.
The Laboral Kutxa women’s team, created in 2019, competed in its first Tour de France last year. It relies on Spanish champion Usoa Ostolaza, Ana Santesteban, 10th in La Flèche Wallonne, and Catalina Soto, who represented Chile at the last Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

For the new season, riders will have the choice between the brand’s two highest-performing road bikes, depending on the type of stage. The F12 for fast formats and the F8 SL – for Super Light – for mountain stages.
Thanks to its Only for you customization system, the brand has created a specific design, which incorporates the famous colors of the foundation.
In terms of setup, the bikes will be equipped with Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 groupsets and Rotor Aldhu cranksets, Deda components and wheels mounted with Vittoria Corsa Pro tires and placed on Selle Italia Novus saddles.

The F8 SL is the ultimate climbing bike, light and reactive for attacking long ascents while maintaining great handling on winding descents.
The F12 was designed for the most demanding riders, seeking a compromise between speed and performance on flat or hilly stages.
