Its founders, Pablo Carrasco and Ignacio Estellés, are recognized as industry pioneers thanks to years of innovations that have enabled several World Champions and Grand Tour winners (Carlos Sastre…) to shine. They previously worked on the creation and development of the Rotor brand. Their new brand QO builds on the innovative vision of Pablo and Ignacio, which led to their first global success with Rotor, and now partners with YMA — a major player in carbon production — to offer products of excellence.

The first QO range consists of state-of-the-art carbon fiber cranks, designed to elevate performance for both pros and enthusiasts.

“We are thrilled to launch QO with this cutting-edge carbon crankset as our inaugural product, and this is just the beginning,” said Pablo, QO co-founder. Ignacio added: “Our mission is to push the boundaries of performance and bring to life ideas we’ve wanted to develop for years. The QO brand is dedicated to providing tangible benefits to professional riders and cycling enthusiasts alike.”

Eight key points to know about QO
• A brand built on passion and expertise. QO is more than just a brand: it’s the passion project of two pioneers who have dedicated their careers to the pursuit of cutting-edge engineering and high-end cycling products. Their legacy is one of innovation, including oval chainrings. With QO, they intend to continue this legacy to advance cycling performance.
• QO is born from a strong partnership between renowned founders Ignacio Estellés and Pablo Carrasco, and leading carbon fiber product manufacturer, YMA.
• QO will launch on the market with three crankset models: ROCKS (MTB), Grava (Gravel), and Race (Road), with other launches planned for 2025.
• Lightweight and robust: composed of premium carbon fiber materials, with internal lamination and impregnation, as well as precision CNC machining for aluminum parts, QO products offer an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio.
• Dimpled surface technology on road cranksets: inspired by aerodynamic principles, this dimpled design improves airflow around the crankset.
• Kevlar protective layer on Grava and ROCKS cranksets, protecting the crank ends from impacts, thus extending their lifespan.
• Proven performance: with several years of success in designing products for professional cyclists and demanding consumers, QO caters to all those who want the highest level of performance and precision.
• A tangible brand, ready for delivery: QO is launching with several European distributors already committed, and public availability is scheduled for early March.
QO products will be available from early March through Alternativsport (for France): fredt@alternativsport.com
