After the unprecedented start of the Paris-Nice team time trial on Tuesday, March 11, for a Magny-Cours-Nevers stage, the 12 Heures vélo will once again mark an unmissable event in Nièvre cycling.
On Saturday, May 17, amateur cyclists will in turn experience the thrill of riding on the 4,411 meters of the Grand Prix track and passing through its legendary curves – Estoril, Imola, Adelaide, Nürburgring. And the organizers have a major surprise in store, which will be unveiled during the official launch evening for the press on Wednesday, January 29 at 6 p.m. at the Nevers Magny-Cours circuit.
The Departmental Council initiated this event to encourage cycling while sharing the discovery of its heritage. The “12 Heures vélo” is a joint project between the Circuit de Nevers-Magny-Cours and La French Run, created by athlete Antoine De Wilde and recognized, in Nièvre and elsewhere, for the originality of its friendly and popular sporting events (Bottine, Moustache, Nevers Marathon, etc.).
