Whether on the cobbles of the Classics or the climbs of the Grand Tours, the riders will have equipment designed to maximise their performance in every race scenario.

This partnership goes beyond race days. Hutchinson and Intermarché-Wanty are already working closely together on research and
development projects, placing innovation at the heart of their alliance. Feedback from the riders, drawn directly from race conditions, will play a decisive role in optimising and creating the next generations of Hutchinson road tires.

The technological collaboration between Hutchinson and Intermarché-Wanty has already borne its first fruits, with next-generation tire prototypes currently being tested by the team’s riders.

These models embody Hutchinson’s know-how in building high-performance tires. These advances, notably evolutions of the iconic Blackbird model, will make their first unofficial appearance at the Tour Down Under before gradually becoming available to cyclists around the world.

Intermarché-Wanty has established itself as a dynamic team, racking up remarkable wins and podiums at WorldTour events in recent seasons, notably with Biniam Girmay, one of the best sprinters in the world. The team sees this partnership with Hutchinson as a strategic lever to reach new heights in 2025.

Mikey van Kruiningen, Equipment & Materials Manager at Intermarché-Wanty: “When we switched to tubeless tires a few years ago, as one of the first teams, we gained a significant advantage in speed. Now that every team rides tubeless, we were looking for a way to regain the technological edge.
With Hutchinson, we have found a new partner ready to work with us on a tire offering good grip, which until now has been the Achilles’
heel of the tubeless system, especially on wet roads. Building on the knowledge gained during the development of the Blackbird tire, we are now developing new Hutchinson Racing Lab tubeless tires together. These new tires, rather wide, will combine exceptional lightness with optimal rolling resistance and exceptional grip – our riders don’t call them the “MotoGP tires” for nothing.

We started intensive testing of the prototypes very early, both in the mountains and on the cobbles, with excellent results. We are very pleased with this new partnership with Hutchinson and with all of our equipment for 2025. The equipment the Intermarché-Wanty riders race on is of absolutely impeccable quality, and we keep working on improvements all the time, in close collaboration with all our technical partners.”

This partnership builds on Hutchinson’s rich record at the highest level of professional cycling, with numerous stage and overall wins at the Tour de France over the brand’s 170 years of history. By returning to the World Tour alongside Intermarché – Wanty, Hutchinson reaffirms its commitment to the pursuit of performance.

“We are proud to collaborate with Intermarché-Wanty, a team that embodies resilience, ambition and technical excellence on the world stage,” said Sylvie Woroniecki, Communications Manager at Hutchinson Cycling. “Their constant pursuit of performance and their hunger for victory at the highest level will help push the development of our products even further. This strategic partnership will allow us to develop even better-performing tire solutions, with major new products from this collaboration due to appear in 2025.”
