Polar Electro, a global leader in sports technology and wearable solutions, announces the launch of a new set of features and improvements for its flagship sports watches, the Polar Grit X2 Pro and Polar Vantage V3. Software version 3.0 introduces more customization options, enhanced navigation features, new capabilities, and smarter functions.

Launched last year with the Polar Vantage V3, the Maps feature receives a major update with the addition of Points of Interest (POI). This improvement allows users to easily identify key points during their outdoor sessions, such as shelters, supermarkets, cafes, and much more.
In addition to navigation advancements, outdoor enthusiasts can now embark on multi-day adventures without fear of battery drain thanks to the new Recharge during training feature. This allows the watch to be recharged while continuing to record an activity, a major breakthrough for ultra-runners. In just 20 minutes of charging, battery life extends up to an additional 10 hours in GPS mode with heart rate tracking.
Version 3.0 also offers a more comprehensive and convenient pre- and post-training experience, with updated pre-training views and summaries. After outdoor workouts, users can relive their session and directly view their route on their watch. Swimmers also benefit from detailed tracking with a breakdown of swimming styles displayed immediately after a pool session.
Smart Functions
Other updates aim to improve daily watch use. The Find My Phone feature displays the phone’s last synchronized location on the watch map and allows a sound signal to be triggered when the phone is within Bluetooth range.
With customizable watch faces and widgets, each user can adapt their Polar watch to their needs. Version 3.0 offers new customization options, including two additional analog and three additional digital watch faces.
Availability
Software version 3.0 is available today, January 8, 2025, for all Polar Grit X2 Pro and Polar Vantage V3 users via the Polar Flow app. This update will also be available in Q2 2025 for Polar Vantage M3 and Polar Ignite 3*. (*Maps and Points of Interest are not available on the Polar Ignite 3.)
