A 2-day program to discover the EcoSystem and new e-bike products from the Giant Group
Giant France chose to host a selection of journalists for two days of discussions around Giant e-bike ecosystems with Pelle Tobias Kil (Giant Group Global Marketing Manager E-bikes) and Edwin Mazier (Product Manager Giant Europe), the Dynamic Cycling Fit bike fitting system by Wouter Lazet (Product Manager Technology Products Gear Bicycle Division), and product tests to discover the Giant Defy Advanced E+ Elite and the Liv Avail Advanced E+ Elite, accompanied by Sylvain Chavanel and Emilien Jacquelin, both Giant France ambassadors.

It was at the end of the first day, more precisely in the late afternoon, that some 70 guests attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony on the forecourt of the new “Giant Institute.”
Giant Institute – the premises
These new premises are located on Rue Paul Langevin in Aix-en-Provence, 200m from the offices housing the headquarters of the French subsidiary. This new space, in the heart of Aix-en-Provence’s business district, is dedicated to dealer training as part of the Giant Retail Academy, both in-person and online, as the location houses a filming studio for all content on the e-learning platform, of the same name, dedicated to the entire network.
As Jérôme Chagnon emphasized during his inaugural speech, “it is an ideal location for visitors. Close to highway exits no matter where you come from, and on the right side of Aix-en-Provence when coming from Marseille Marignane airport and Aix-TGV train station. A place dedicated to the transmission of knowledge and aiming for the expertise of our dealers within the Giant Retail Academy.”
Giant Institute – the spaces
The location has several spaces distributed as follows:
• A welcoming reception area of 70m² equipped with a bar, an ideal place for breaks and relaxation; also serving as a filming space.
• A large training room of 78m² equipped with two connected interactive screens, capable of accommodating about thirty seated people.
• An “electric ecosystem” training workshop of 41m². It has six equipped workbenches allowing trainees to assemble and disassemble different e-bike systems.
• A training workshop dedicated to bicycle and e-bike mechanics over 59m². This is equipped with 6 work stands that can accommodate as many pairs of trainees for training on the assembly and disassembly of the different electric-assist bicycle ecosystems of the Giant Group brands.
• A 24m² Dynamic Cycling Fit room dedicated to the bike fitting system developed by Giant.

The Giant Retail Academy
The Giant Retail Academy (GRA) is the Giant Group’s training program. The objective of the Giant Retail Academy is to develop the expertise of the dealer network for better consumer satisfaction. This international program involves all subsidiaries in this dealer training process. As you will have understood, the GRA is open to all brand dealers, whether they are Giant Stores or multi-brand partner dealers.
Every employee, regardless of their hierarchical level within a dealer store, can access their e-GRA space, a personal online training area. An e-learning platform based on the resources of one of the online training specialists, Myagi.
The GRA provides 3 training modules for its dealers.
• A module dedicated to sales for Giant Store staff: Pro Sales in the Cycling World.
• A Giant Store Integration Course module dedicated to Giant Store managers. This module takes place over 48 hours, in total immersion within Giant France, to acquire the basics of the Giant Store business model. Since 2010, 140 Giant Stores have followed this training course.
• A module on the world of electric-assist bicycles. The objective of this module is to:
o Enable dealers to understand the e-bike ecosystem,
o Identify and effectively intervene in case of a malfunction, master diagnostic tools,
o Master the compatibilities between different ecosystems.

An evolving program that adapts to the arrival of new technologies.
As soon as the GRA was implemented in 2021, Giant France committed to a Qualiopi certification process. This certification supports the quality of the content transmitted to and learned by the trainee, and allows companies sending trainees to have training costs financed.
Since the implementation of this module, 37 sessions have been organized for 336 trainees representing 251 points of sale in France. Giant France is working on setting up a module dedicated to training its dealers on Dynamic Cycling Fit, the bike fitting system developed by the Giant Group.
