Lightweight aluminum frame, carbon fork, rim brakes, low-profile aluminum rims: the Cannondale CAAD Optimo offers everything you need to get started with road cycling in style. Four models are available, ranging from €999 to €1,499: ideal for hitting the road with a reasonable investment.
The culmination of Cannondale’s expertise in aluminum road bikes—refined tube profiles, precision butted joints, and two-pass welds—results in frames that are both lighter and offer a superior ride quality compared to competitors’ high-end aluminum models.
With geometry directly inherited from the award-winning CAAD13, the CAAD Optimo delivers race-ready ride quality and optimal body positioning at all times.
In addition to the Optimo’s new teardrop-shaped seatstay profile, carefully engineered flex zones at the rear of the frame absorb road vibrations for greater comfort and control.
Full-carbon fork
The high-end carbon fork is made entirely of carbon fiber and features a tapered steerer tube for ultra-light weight and maximum steering precision.
Built-in Versatility
Discreet mounts for racks and fenders expand the CAAD Optimo’s versatility for daily commutes and rainy training rides.
