David Tandart’s story begins in 1996, in a small club in Aisne. It was there that his love for cycling was born, a love that quickly propelled him to more ambitious clubs. After winning the Île-de-France time trial and road race championships, he joined the prestigious VC Roubaix in 2004. But a cyclist’s career is never a smooth ride, and David was no exception. Between victories, physical challenges, and mononucleosis that slowed his progress, he nevertheless won about thirty races, accumulating experiences that would shape his approach to the business world.
When competition ended, the transition to entrepreneurship seemed obvious. “As a merchant’s son, it was logical for me to get started,” he confides. While his sports career allowed him to acquire unparalleled discipline and rigor, it was his entrepreneurial drive that took over. The Giant Store in Amiens, as well as his other projects in the sports and restaurant sectors, are tangible results of this desire to create, innovate, and always push his limits.

Cycling and entrepreneurship: shared values
David sees no boundary between his past as a cyclist and his present as an entrepreneur. For him, cycling not only forged his character; it was also a management school. “You need a strong leader to motivate a team,” he explains. Whether in a peloton or within his store, this idea of team spirit and leadership is omnipresent. David has cultivated a unique work atmosphere, where humor and rigor blend with a shared passion for cycling.
In his Giant Store, it’s not just about selling bikes, but about offering a real experience. There’s something intangible about the atmosphere of his showroom: an alchemy born from the unity of his team and his commitment to the brand. “Giant is my brand of choice,” he confides, before praising the brand’s assets, its constant innovations, and the diversity of its products.

The balance between sport and healthy living: a life philosophy
But David’s DNA is not limited to his past as a cyclist and his role as an entrepreneur. He is also the creator of a healthy restaurant, which embodies his vision of well-being. After getting tired of traditional fast food, he launched a concept of fast and healthy food, inspired by his sporty lifestyle. For him, food is much more than a necessity; it is essential fuel for performing, both in sport and in daily life.
“Eating well and exercising is the perfect balance,” he declares, explaining how his concept aligns with the values of sport and well-being. The restaurant caters to those who seek to take care of themselves while leading an active life, whether they are runners, cyclists, or simply adherents of healthy eating.
A devouring ambition: relentlessly pushing oneself
David is not content with the success he has already achieved. With unwavering energy and optimism, he looks to the future. His ambition is clear: to develop his network of businesses. “I want to open bike stores, running stores, and restaurants. My goal is to reach about ten points of sale,” he announces. Like a breakaway in a race, he knows there’s no certainty about the outcome, but he is convinced that the adventure is worth living.
He advises those who dream of following a similar path not to hold back: “In entrepreneurship, you have to go for it. It’s exciting, like a breakaway. When it works, there’s no better feeling.” David Tandart embodies this philosophy of perpetual motion: that of an entrepreneur who, like a cyclist, constantly pushes his limits.

The future? A horizon to conquer together
For David, entrepreneurship is an endless playground. Each project, each store or restaurant opening, each new adventure is a way to reinvent himself. But beyond his personal ambitions, he wants to transmit something greater: a vision of sport and business that intertwine and nourish each other.
“I continue to encourage those who follow me, whether they are passionate about cycling, entrepreneurship, or both,” he concludes. “Stay curious, stay passionate, and never let obstacles stop you. The future belongs to those who dare.”
Thus, by crossing the path of cycling, entrepreneurship, and well-being, David Tandart shows us that it is possible to transform one’s passion into a driving force in life. His story reminds us that every finish line is a new beginning. And that, as in the greatest breakaways, success belongs to those who are never afraid to look towards the horizon.
