The Crosshill CF, Lapierre’s vision of performance gravel

Gravel is a discipline that has rapidly diversified into multiple sub-practices: Bikepacking, touring, ultra-distance, race, light gravel, mountain gravel, which means that, depending on where and how it is practiced, Gravel refers to a general practice, but not a single discipline.

Since 2016, Lapierre has entered the Gravel universe with a first range of aluminum Crosshill bikes designed for sport/adventure Gravel with a Bikepacking focus.

The Crosshill CF completes the offering in this area, targeting a new segment: performance and pushing one’s limits for short rides as well as very long distances.

The new Crosshill CF is:
• A new carbon frame design
• Performance-oriented practice
• A more aggressive geometry
• A frame compatible with suspension forks
• A frame compatible with UDH derailleur hanger

Comfort at the heart of the project

The comfort of the Crosshill CF is based on four technical choices:

1. A lightweight frame, 100% UD SL for more elasticity and responsiveness.

2. The new 3D Tubular E leaves the seat tube free along its entire length for more flexibility thanks to a larger rear triangle. The Crosshill CF offers up to 12% additional vibration absorption at 40 km/h.

3. Flexstays seatstays that provide vertical flexibility thanks to their elliptical shape and a double S-bend at the top to accentuate vibration absorption.

4. A frame compatible with suspension forks up to 40 mm and 700×45 tires.

Controlled rigidity

To be performant, the frame must be light, dynamic, and remain comfortable.

Lapierre opted for a UD SL design using Standard Module fibers with an exclusive pre-preg layup around a latex-coated core. This manufacturing process allows for better compression of the carbon plies and guarantees the best weight/stiffness/comfort compromise.

Frame design and conception
• 100% UD SL carbon frame
• Controlled lateral stiffness
• Increased vertical compliance
• Lightweight and responsive feel
• Internal routing for cables and hoses
• UCI approved for competitions
• Compatible with single or double chainring
Bare frame weight: 1000 g* / 404 g* for the fork

Geometry

Designed for speed and responsiveness, without sacrificing stability and a comfortable position for long distances.

The new Crosshill CF perfectly reflects the vision of comfort and performance for Gravel, both on flat terrain and in technical or steep sections, to instill confidence in every cyclist. Compared to the aluminum Crosshill, the new Crosshill CF features:

1. A slightly shorter top tube for a compact position
2. A much steeper seat angle (1.5 to 3.5° depending on size) for more powerful and efficient pedaling.
3. 5 mm shorter chainstays (430 mm) for more responsiveness in accelerations without compromising the use of large tire widths (700×45 max)
4. A bottom bracket 4 to 5 mm* higher to clear all obstacles
5. Now available in XXL size (6 sizes from XS to XXL)

Also designed for bikepacking

True to the Gravel spirit, our new Crosshill CF frame is equipped with multiple mounting points for carrying light luggage and other bikepacking accessories and protection such as a fender.

• Two mounting screws on each side of the fork
• Two mounting screws on the top tube
• A bridge on the seatstays for attaching the fender in addition to the screws provided at the chainstay/seatstay intersection
• Three mounting points on the fork for a fender
• A universal seat clamp
• A UDH rear derailleur hanger

Crosshill CF Equipment & Details

The new aluminum stem allows for a discreet and simplified semi-integrated setup for internal routing through the headset. This semi-integrated routing also facilitates maintenance while maintaining a clean line and aerodynamic gains.

All models feature handlebars with a 12° flare for comfortable riding on long sections of trails, with hands in the drops.
Aluminum handlebars (models 5.0, 6.0, 6.0 S) have a 114 mm drop, and a 12 mm rise for more comfortable riding with hands on the tops.

Carbon handlebars, with a wing bar profile (models 7.0, 8.0, 8.0 S), have a slightly larger drop (122 mm), and a more pronounced rise of 20 mm. The aero profile on the upper part of the carbon handlebars improves grip for better steering control.

Components and accessories

In terms of performance, all models are equipped with WTB Raddler TCS Light 700×44 mm tires, Tubeless Ready compatible for riding at low pressure and increased comfort.

The two top-of-the-range models feature DT Swiss GRC 1600 carbon wheels with wide rims and an aero profile.
The models below are equipped with semi-aero, wide-profile DT Swiss aluminum wheels. They contribute to the performance and comfort of the carbon chassis.

The right chainstay is equipped with a soft rubber CSP that reduces noise in technical sections and protects the chainstay from wear/marks from the chain.

6.0 S and 8.0 S models focused on mountain gravel

For use on rough and technical terrain, such as mountain trails, two models feature a full suspension fork with a hydraulic cartridge for maximum sensitivity and more comfort on rocky paths.

The SR SUNTOUR GVX32-S 40 mm with handlebar lockout equips the 6.0 S model. The Rockshox Rudy Ultimate with its 30 mm of travel is found on the 8.0 S.

The Crosshill CF 2025 range, a varied and complete offering
Seven models make up the Crosshill CF range, two of which are equipped with a telescopic fork with 30 and 40 mm of travel for more aggressive mountain use.
Emphasis on electronics
Reliable and precise in all circumstances for fast gear changes, SRAM AXS electronic transmissions (XPLR as well as the new Shimano GRX Di2) equip five models. They are perfectly suited for sporty and performance-oriented use.

Single or double chainring
Do you have a preference? Lapierre offers both possibilities.
Double chainring 48-31 for Shimano GRX models (mechanical or Di2), single chainring 40T for SRAM AXS XPLR equipped models.
