New Dilecta Grammont

After the Le Blanc steel model and the Forçat aluminum and steel model, Dilecta is launching a new carbon bike, the Grammont. A bike that draws on the rich heritage of a historic brand, relaunched in 2021 after ceasing operations in the mid-1960s, but modern in its design in search of an ideal compromise between efficiency and comfort.

The Grammont embodies the heritage and passion of the Dilecta brand. This model name was chosen for several reasons:

  • An emblematic avenue of Paris-Tours: Grammont is the famous avenue that marks the finish of Paris-Tours, a classic won twice by the Dilecta-Wolber team with Frans Bonduel in 1938 and Jacques Dupont in 1951.
  • A historic workshop dedicated to special bikes: located near Avenue de Grammont, the brand’s workshop dedicated to “special bikes” manufactured all custom frames for Dilecta team professionals since 1937. This workshop was the birthplace of the brand’s know-how at the time.

  • The mythical Wall of the Tour of Flanders: Grammont is also the name of the legendary Wall of the Tour of Flanders, successfully climbed seven times by Belgian riders of the Dilecta-Wolber team, symbolizing the perseverance and excellence of these athletes.
  • A tribute to the brand’s history and its champions: all product names of the brand are closely linked to its history and the heroes who shaped it. Grammont is thus the perfect name for this new carbon road bike, paying tribute to the special bikes created in the 1930s and the team’s multiple victories.

Grammont is the fusion of the brand’s rich heritage and its commitment to innovation and performance, offering a unique road bike that perpetuates Dilecta’s excellence.

Why a carbon road bike in the Dilecta range?

With an exceptional heritage of 36 seasons at the pinnacle of professional cycling, 5 yellow jerseys and 14 stage victories in the Tour de France, not to mention numerous victories in the greatest classics, it was essential for Dilecta to reconnect with the brand’s performance DNA. It is in this spirit that Dilecta is launching this new Service Course carbon range, designed for those seeking excellence on the road.

Inspired by history, designed for victory

The Grammont model is intended for sportive riders and racers looking for a balanced, lightweight, and high-performance bike.

Featuring a monocoque carbon frame and fork with HM fibers (830 g in size XS), the Grammont offers a rigid chassis that provides optimal efficiency, particularly at ease on flat and rolling terrain as well as in the mountains with low-profile wheels.

The Grammont is an easy-to-ride, efficient, and agile bike, comfortable on climbs and false flats, responsive to accelerations and surges, and delivers when you put the power down.

Geometry

Its classic geometry, round-shaped tubes with edges, D-shaped carbon seatpost, full cable integration, and dropped seatstays give it a unique, modern, and elegant identity true to Dilecta’s identity.

The T700/T800 carbon composition with HM fibers allows for the construction of a lightweight frame combined with a performance-oriented Dilecta geometry, ensuring a perfect marriage of stiffness & efficiency without being too demanding.

Choose the Deda handlebar + stem option or opt for the Dilecta Grammont handlebar-stem combo, lightweight, stiff, and ergonomic with its round shapes and 7 length & width combinations to choose from.
