In a move underlining their commitment to cycling, Shimano and Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O.) have announced the extension of their fruitful partnership for four more years, until the end of 2028.
Shimano’s long-standing relationship with A.S.O. reflects its deep commitment to cycling.
This collaboration will continue to cover some of the most prestigious events on the UCI WorldTour calendar, including the Grand Tours such as the Tour de France, the Tour de France Femmes with Zwift, La Vuelta, and La Vuelta Femenina by Carrefour.es. It also covers renowned Classics such as Paris-Roubaix, Liège-Bastogne-Liège, La Flèche Wallonne, and Paris-Tours, as well as popular events such as L’Étape du Tour and the Roc d’Azur CIC.

Christian Prudhomme, Tour de France Director, said: “We are delighted to continue our partnership with Shimano, a key player in both professional and amateur cycling. Their technical expertise and commitment to innovation are essential assets to the success of the races we organise. Their professionalism guarantees optimal and fair conditions for all riders. This renewal reflects the mutual trust we have in each other.”
A history of partnership
The partnership between Shimano and A.S.O. began with La Vuelta, and was expanded in 2021 to include the world’s best-known Grand Tour, the Tour de France, and various Spring Classics.
Shimano’s involvement in these events allows it to play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and fairness of competition. Shimano contributes to the quality and integrity of every race by making sure that all riders, whatever their choice of drivetrain, receive the support they need to give their best.
A legacy of excellence
One of the key elements of this collaboration is the Shimano Neutral Service programme. Over the course of a year, Shimano Neutral Service assists riders in all of A.S.O.’s women’s and men’s races, covering more than 560 race days in a season. With more than 20 years of experience, the Shimano team is equipped to assist all cyclists, whatever equipment their team has chosen. The iconic blue cars and motorbikes of Neutral Service are an integral part of A.S.O.’s WorldTour, Continental and Women’s races, providing crucial assistance to riders in the event of a crash or mechanical problem.

With a commitment to fairness and quality, Shimano’s dedication to cycling and to its athletes is clear. Through this partnership with A.S.O., Shimano wishes to inspire a new generation of cyclists and strengthen confidence in the quality of its products.
Yuzo Shimano, Executive Vice President, Bicycle Components Planning Department, said: “At Shimano, we believe that cycling is about the journey, not the destination. That is why we are happy to extend our partnership with Amaury Sport Organisation. Together, we will ensure that every cyclist, competing at the highest level, receives the same level of support and expertise that our mechanics and riders possess, so that they can achieve their goals.”
