Cervélo Unveils the New P-Series

Cervélo introduces the P-Series, a bike that bears a striking resemblance to the brand’s flagship time trial bike, the famous P5. The P-Series benefits from all the experience gained during extensive wind tunnel testing and the most rigorous trials that made the P5 the fastest time trial bike on the World Tour, but with the addition of a few details that make it the perfect choice for triathlon events, regardless of the distance.

The new P-Series stands out for several features:

  • New sizes and a more modern fit (available in sizes 48–58 as complete bikes; frame kits also available in size 61)
  • Streamlined front end and further-improved cable routing, compatible with mechanical drivetrains
  • New design even closer to the P5
  • New internal storage compartment with an easily removable cover, allowing you to store an inner tube and tools in two Cervélo-specific pouches
  • Improved aerodynamics: 5.9 g faster in drag with Réserve 52/63 wheels
  • New Fastback seatpost inspired by the P5
  • Complies with UCI standards
  • Frame: 1,339 g, fork: 424 g (Size 56)
  • Available in Five Black or Deep Dahlia (depending on the version)

The new P-Series frame is 5.9 g faster in aerodynamic drag than the previous model, but the additional tire clearance accommodates Reserve 52/63 wheels and 29 mm Vittoria tires. For a total drag reduction of
3.5W compared to the previous Reserve 50/Vittoria 28 setup.

In addition to the all-new frame storage, Cervélo still ships every P-Series bike with the Smartpak 400, the bento
box mounted on the top tube, which makes on-the-bike refueling much easier without sacrificing aerodynamics.

New this year on the P-Series, the frame storage compartment is designed to hold an inner tube, a small multi-tool, and a few CO2 cartridges. The hatch is easily removable with or without a water bottle in place—just flip the latch and pull!

An even faster riding position!

The P-Series is designed to adapt to the athlete. The “stack” has been increased to 53 mm, and the spacers that allow the “Basebar” to reach this height are included in the kit. Adjustments and positions are constantly evolving, and the P-Series offers even more flexibility in an incredibly fast “combo.”
