For a brand like Orbea, with competition truly in its blood, the Olympic Games are an unmissable event. To celebrate its participation in the Games, Orbea has prepared special bikes with an exclusive design inspired by Paris, the “City of Light,” which will be used by the brand’s athletes. Paris was nicknamed “The City of Light” at the beginning of the 19th century, when it became the first European city to install gas streetlights to illuminate its streets. Orbea has adopted this concept in the design of the Orca, Oiz, Orca Aero, and Ordu models that will compete in the Olympic Games.

Black, gold and pink Orbea road bike with tan-wall wheels in front of a colourful background.

In this concept, the cyclist becomes the fuel, the light. All this generated energy spreads throughout the bike, from the saddle to the front, filling the frame with energy and speed.

This translates into a distinct color combination with gold (Metallic Gold) representing the energy generated by the cyclist, pink (Cotton Pink) spreading across the frame, and purple (Tanzanite Carbon View) completing the front of the bike. A design 100% developed and painted in Orbea’s facilities in the Basque Country.

These bikes are exclusively for Orbea athletes participating in the Olympic Games, and therefore, it will only be possible to see them in action during the road race, time trial, and Olympic distance mountain bike (XCO) event.
