Canyon launches the fourth generation of the Aeroad

Canyon unveils the all-new Aeroad. Designed with input from professional riders, the new Canyon Aeroad has already secured three stage victories at the Tour de France. The new Canyon Aeroad CFR and CF SLX range features a new adaptive PACE Bar cockpit system.

Input from over 50 WorldTour professionals and their mechanics paved the way for the development of the new Aeroad. Their mission was clear: the 4th generation Aeroad had to harness the raw speed of the previous bike, but with even more refinement.

The new Aeroad offers next-level durability to withstand all the rigors of racing, from critical reinforced carbon layer sections to the smallest mechanical details.

Certain sections of the frame have also been reinforced to improve handling responsiveness. As with any race bike in 2024, lightness that doesn’t compromise aerodynamic performance was also a key objective, with complete builds of the models offered all weighing in around 7 kg.

What’s more, increased tire clearance for up to 32 mm tires makes the Aeroad the most versatile aero race bike in its class, from Milan-San Remo to the cobbles of Paris-Roubaix.

The new PACE cockpit

The PACE cockpit is the biggest novelty of the 4th generation Aeroad. Standing for Performance Adaptive Cockpit Ecosystem, the PACE cockpit opens up a range of performance options and a wider range of adjustments through innovative modularity.

Riders can now swap the outer parts of the handlebar in minutes and choose between a classic version and an aero version with a progressive 19° flare that further reduces frontal area and can save up to 14 watts at high speeds.

The fastest bike in the WorldTour

Tests conducted at the GST wind tunnel in southern Germany place the new Aeroad at the top of the WorldTour peloton rankings. As with previous generations of the Aeroad, the true triumph of engineering here lies in how the new bike achieves this aerodynamic performance while remaining light and supple enough for use in all top-level road races.

Benchmark reliability

The Aeroad has also been designed to be simple to assemble and maintain. From the hermetically sealed high-end headset bearings to the use of high-strength T25 stainless steel and titanium screws manufactured in Germany throughout the frame, the new Aeroad is designed to perform day after day, season after season, year after year.

The new Aeroad range

The new Aeroad range includes six models with Shimano Di2 or SRAM AXS across two platforms, the Aeroad CFR and the Aeroad CF SLX.

CFR models are built from the best carbon Canyon can find, resulting in a frame that offers WorldTour-level lightness, strength, and stiffness.

Aeroad CFR AXS: €10,599
Aeroad CFR Di2: €10,099

The Aeroad CF SLX carbon offers the optimal balance between lightweight construction and high strength. CF SLX models are available in Di2 or AXS versions with a CF SLX 7 or CF SLX 8 specification.

Aeroad CF SLX 8 AXS: €7,049
Aeroad CF SLX 8 Di2: €6,549
Aeroad CF SLX 7 Di2: €4,849
Aeroad CF SLX 7 AXS: €4,249

Both the Aeroad CF SLX and Aeroad CFR platforms feature full system integration and electronic groupsets at all levels, as well as power meters on all models except the AEROAD CF SLX 7 AXS.

The all-new 4th generation Aeroad is now available exclusively on Canyon.com or via the Canyon app.
