The WorldTour team, Team Jayco AlUla, will participate in the 2024 Tour de France with a new team jersey produced by Alé. The new kit will be launched at the start of the iconic French men’s stage race, scheduled for Saturday, June 29 in Florence, and for the women’s race, Le Tour de France Femmes, which will start in Rotterdam (NL) on August 12.
Alé has been a proud partner of the team for several years and has now produced this unique kit, consisting of a jersey and bib shorts, whose colors and graphics are inspired by the art, culture, and nature that characterize the splendid landscapes of AlUla, the famous city in Saudi Arabia.
Based on green and orange colors, the design of the new jersey is inspired by AlUla’s iconic landscape, its ancient rock formations and famous rock carvings, as well as modern sites such as Maraya Hall. References to AlUla’s rich and bold traditional craftsmanship and design aesthetics are also found in the jersey’s pattern.
Alessia Piccolo, CEO of APG, the company that owns Alé, stated: “A beautiful and inspiring design characterizes this new jersey that will be worn in the world’s most famous stage race. It is a tribute to the iconic Arabian city and its culture. We are delighted to have participated in this project and we wish both the men’s and women’s teams the greatest success in the race.”
Brent Copeland, General Manager of Team Jayco AlUla, is thrilled with this new look that highlights the team’s important partner at the world’s biggest event: “The kit design is truly special and really stands out. Every detail of this design has been carefully considered and we will wear it with pride during the Tour de France, demonstrating our continuous efforts to communicate to the world the extraordinary heritage and cultural significance of AlUla. It is truly a remarkable place with so many natural wonders waiting to be explored. We hope to achieve the best possible results with this new kit, to show our gratitude to our loyal partner AlUla, team owner Gerry Ryan, and Alé, who have done a tremendous job in developing and manufacturing this new kit.”
