Trek today launches its all-new 8th generation Madone, a revolutionary fusion of its two iconic race steeds. Light as the Émonda, fast as the Madone, the brand’s new flagship merges the best of both worlds into the only road bike you’ll truly need.

The Madone 8 was developed with input from the world’s best racers to lead the pack on all courses, whether in the mountains or in sprint finishes.

Light as the Émonda

The Madone 8 is as light as the current Émonda SLR frameset and 320g lighter than the previous Madone frameset, thanks to the all-new 900 Series OCLV Carbon and radically innovative tube design. An exceptional climber, it will make even the most fervent Émonda fans dream.

Fast as the Madone 7

In terms of pure speed, the Madone 8 shows a gain of 77 seconds/hour compared to the Émonda and identical performance to the previous Madone, thanks to its new Full System Foil tube design, which redefines the aesthetics of speed. The new RSL Aero bottle cages and bottles (supplied on the Madone SLR), meanwhile, will improve system performance on any bike.

The best of both worlds

While the Madone 8 replaces both the Madone 7 and the Émonda, it boasts a heritage far superior to any other. With the Madone 8, Émonda fans now benefit from unprecedented aerodynamics, and Madone fans from unheard-of lightness to conquer climbs like never before.

Improved IsoFlow Technology

The Madone 8’s improved IsoFlow technology is even lighter and offers 80% more vertical compliance than the previous version, absorbing road irregularities to help you ride harder for longer distances.

New lighter and more ergonomic handlebar-stem

The Madone SLR promotes an even more aerodynamic riding position thanks to the ultralight OCLV Carbon RSL Aero integrated handlebar-stem, which boasts improved aerodynamics and a width 3 cm narrower at the hoods than at the drops.

Carbon for all budgets

The all-new Madone SL shares the same revolutionary frame technology as the SLR model, and optimizes costs by opting for the more economical 500 Series OCLV Carbon and a two-piece handlebar-stem assembly.
