Fizik launches custom-comfort saddles with a “One-To-One” service

Fizik aims to revolutionize the market with a service called One-To-One, allowing cyclists to have their own truly unique 3D saddle. The service has been developed over three years as part of Fizik’s concept research program, which brings together leading experts and academics to push the boundaries of saddle technology, design, and fit.

A truly personalized saddle

An individual program sees cyclists undergo a series of personalized measurements at an authorized Fizik Select store, resulting in the most appropriate saddle from Fizik’s Adaptive range.

In a second step, a pressure mapping session is organized with biometric data collection, which is recorded to evaluate how forces are distributed across 64 contact points directly on the saddle in a range of different positions and pedaling styles. Key areas of focus include peak pressure hot spots, instabilities, and asymmetries.

Once this data has been recorded and analyzed, a custom 3D padding structure that exactly matches the cyclist’s needs is designed. Finally, the future user can then choose between carbon or Kium rails before completing their order.

“We know that a precise fit depends on many factors: bike geometry, intended use, saddle shape, and position. But above all, every cyclist is unique: experience, sensitivity, history of potential injuries, body shape, goals. All of this can affect how we sit on the saddle.
