After years of innovation in GPS sports watches, distinguished by their battery life, easy-to-use interface, and robust training software, the COROS brand announced today that it is bringing the same formula to a new solar-powered GPS bike computer, the COROS DURA.

Using simplicity as a guiding principle for its bike computer, COROS prioritizes the cyclist’s experience by addressing several user frustrations. This translates into virtually infinite battery life, the use of Google Maps for navigation, very fast download speeds, and much more – the innovation of this new computer is unmatched in the GPS computer market.

COROS DURA, the adventure and training companion

The COROS DURA allows for 120 consecutive hours of riding with a full GPS signal on a single charge. The computer’s solar panels add up to two hours of activity for every hour of direct sun exposure.

Featuring a fully customizable 2.7-inch MIP color touchscreen, data and navigation viewing on the DURA is crystal clear when riding outdoors, especially in direct sunlight. Adaptive backlighting automatically adjusts screen brightness to ensure clear viewing at night or indoors.

New routes can be easily created in the COROS app or downloaded from apps such as Strava, Ride with GPS, and Komoot. If you change your mind mid-ride, search for new destinations on your phone, or draw a new route, the COROS DURA will sync the updated route in seconds.

The COROS DURA also includes a complete training platform at your fingertips with the COROS app and the COROS Training Hub designed for desktop, with no additional cost or monthly fees. Athletes looking to get the most out of their training will gain comprehensive fitness insights by pairing the DURA with a COROS watch, including performance, recovery, sleep, stress, and HRV metrics.

“Our goal is to create products that solve athletes’ problems – whether it’s helping them train, explore the world, or simply bringing them closer to the sport they already love. The COROS DURA is a clear illustration of this philosophy and is truly the ultimate adventure and training companion. We are proud and honored to introduce the DURA to the cycling market,” explains Lewis Wu, co-founder of COROS.

Tested to the limit

The COROS DURA was developed with the help and feedback of some of the world’s best off-road endurance cyclists, including Haley Smith, Cole Paton, Freddy Ovett, Hannah Otto, and Amity Rockwell. Tested to the limit in long-distance endurance races like Traka 360 and Unbound 200, as well as in the tight turns of the Nové Město MTB World Cup, the DURA consistently provided accurate data and navigation, flawless operation, long battery life, and all the performance metrics world-class athletes need to track their performance.

Information and price

The all-new COROS DURA, available for 289 EUR, went on sale worldwide on June 17. Shipments will begin on July 15. The DURA includes an exclusive handlebar mount and a USB-C charging cable. Like other COROS devices, the DURA integrates with major mapping and analysis tools, including Komoot, Strava, Training Peaks, and Ride with GPS. The DURA takes its name from the Spanish word for “a difficult thing.” As its name suggests, the DURA is designed to support cyclists, no matter how difficult a ride or challenge may be.
The recommended retail price has been set at €289.
