PRO Bikegear Unveils PRO Discover Aero Carbon Handlebar and PRO Discover 10 Stem for Enhanced Gravel Aerodynamics

Aerodynamic gains on gravel frames and wheels have become the norm, but dedicated aero cockpits are rare.
The PRO Discover Aero Carbon Handlebar now addresses this need for speed and efficiency, while prioritizing comfort, control, integration, and precise bike positioning. This positioning is further enhanced by the addition of the PRO Discover 10 Stem to the brand’s dedicated Discover gravel stem range.
For racers, ultra-distance enthusiasts, or adventurers who demand aerodynamic efficiency, the PRO Discover Aero Carbon Handlebar will elevate your performance level.
Developed for superior handling, the handlebar features a compact drop with 12 degrees of flare. In the drops position, the 4-degree sweep encourages a more aerodynamic body position.
The handlebar’s carbon construction, with strategically placed Dyneema® fibers, offers flexibility and reduces vibrations, which in turn reduces fatigue. Control is ensured thanks to the 12-degree flare, while the ergonomic curve of the handlebar takes into account shifter and brake integration to guarantee ease of shifting and braking, even on the roughest terrain.

The new PRO Discover Aero Carbon Handlebar is launched simultaneously with the PRO Discover 10 Stem.
With a ±10-degree angle, the PRO Discover 10 Stem is constructed from AL 7075 alloy using 3D forging and CNC machining manufacturing techniques. It is available in seven lengths from 60 to 120 millimeters, with a standard 31.8 mm clamp diameter. Compared to the existing PRO Discover Stem, which has a ±6-degree angle, the PRO Discover 10 Stem allows for a perfect bike fit.
“Integrated cockpits may be all the rage right now, but for the vast majority of cyclists, the combination of a handlebar and stem simply allows for a better bike fit,” confirms Mark Kikkert.

Setting a Standard for Gravel
The PRO Discover Aero Carbon Handlebar and PRO Discover 10 Stem are also the first PRO Discover components to undergo the new PRO Gravel Standard test.
As the first gravel products to be tested according to the PRO Gravel Standard protocol, the PRO Discover Aero Carbon Handlebar and PRO Discover 10 Stem set a new safety standard for gravel bikes.
In line with modern functionality and aesthetics, the PRO Discover Aero Carbon Handlebar and PRO Discover 10 Stem are compatible with semi-internal cable routing.
Electronic and traditional shift cables, as well as hydraulic brake cables, are hidden from the wind in key areas where they would otherwise cause drag, but are easily accessible for maintenance. This maintains a sleek and clean look with the PRO Discover Aero cockpit, which will be put to the test by Laurens Ten Dam at Unbound Gravel on June 1, 2024, in Emporia, Kansas, USA – the world’s premier gravel event.
