The Tour de l’Avenir, a true springboard for young cyclists under 23, will start in Sarrebourg (Southern Moselle) and finish in Italy, in the Piedmont region and the metropolitan area of Turin. The men’s version will be held from August 18 to 24, while the second edition of the women’s Tour de l’Avenir, launched last year, will be held concurrently over four days, with the last two “Piedmontese” stages being identical in every respect to the men’s Tour de l’Avenir route.

Competitors will have to cross several mountain ranges of varying difficulty: the Vosges, Jura, and Savoie in the Haute-Tarentaise – Vanoise area, before moving on to the Italian peninsula with a finish at the summit of the magnificent Colle delle Finestre, an 18-kilometer climb, the last eight of which are unpaved.
The yellow jerseys of both races will once again be supported by CIC, the main partner of the Tour de l’Avenir 2024 and a strong supporter of young people.
