During a sports activity, you can only display certain data such as heart rate and pace or even just navigation, when you might need this information simultaneously. Screen sharing allows the watch and phone to work together seamlessly, offering a whole new interaction experience with the COROS watch and phone, displaying the information the athlete needs in the easiest format to visualize.

It can be easier and safer to follow navigation instructions on a larger screen, especially when cycling or following a complex route. Screen sharing therefore allows you to follow your route from your phone in addition to your watch. To use it, simply open the Explore page in the app after starting navigation on your watch. This feature is available with all activity modes that support navigation.

GPS Optimization for Climbing

Even with dual frequency, accurate GPS tracking for climbers tackling steep walls, chimneys, or off-width cracks is a challenge for all GPS watch brands. COROS has made a big step forward in solving this problem with an optimized GPS algorithm for the Outdoor Climb mode.

Virtual Pacer

Running at the right pace is essential to achieve your race or training goals. This brand new feature allows runners to use their watch as a virtual pacer in two different ways. When the runner sets a distance and pace goal, they will be alerted when they exceed their set time. If they set a pace goal but do not choose a distance, they can run against a virtual runner at their chosen pace to see if they are ahead or behind.

To use it, scroll the Activity menu to “Pacer” and choose a target distance or pace for the activity.

New Activity Screen Design

This simplified design uses larger text and icons to make data easier to read at a glance.

New Training Features for Climbers/Cyclists

COROS understands that climbers are also athletes and can benefit from the same robust set of tools that we provide to runners. For the first time, regardless of watch brand, climbers can now create workouts, manage multi-activity training plans, and work with a coach, all within the COROS training system.

Climbing Workout Programming – Enter climbing workouts directly into the COROS app or on the Training Hub and sync them to your watch to track them at the gym.

Climbing Training Plans – Create plans that include multiple activities such as running, trail running, cycling, swimming, strength training, indoor climbing, and bouldering modes.

Climbing Coaching – The new workout programming and training plan features make the COROS Training Hub a powerful tool for climbers to work remotely with a coach of their choice.

Bouldering Mode – Tracking bouldering activities is available in Indoor Climb mode, but this new dedicated mode allows you to track bouldering as a separate activity. This will also allow climbers to easily program bouldering workouts and integrate them into training plans.

Cycling FTP Test – Measuring your FTP is the best way to understand your cycling fitness level and optimize your training zones. Performed on an indoor trainer with a power meter, the COROS FTP test simplifies the typical 20-minute all-out effort method to provide accurate results through a set of guided intervals.
