Wahoo Fitness has unveiled a series of innovative software updates for ELEMNT bike computers. These updates, including GoPro, smart light, and music control, as well as training plan integration, are now available on the latest ROAM and BOLT models.
They demonstrate Wahoo’s commitment to continuously improving functionality and delivering added value to its products through regular software updates. These updates are driven by customer feedback and needs – they represent a significant step forward in enhancing the cycling experience for Wahoo product users.
In an unprecedented update, Wahoo introduces GoPro control to the ELEMNT range, allowing users to manage their GoPro action cameras without ever leaving their handlebars. With the ability to start/stop recording, take photos, and adjust camera modes directly from the ELEMNT, cyclists can effortlessly capture every moment of their ride.
The latest Smart Light Control feature transforms ELEMNT computers into a centralized hub for managing bike lighting. Cyclists can now pair their device with compatible ANT+ smart lights, including those from Bontrager and Garmin, allowing them to control functions such as turning lights on/off and adjusting modes directly from their ELEMNT. With automatic light activation at the start of a ride and deactivation at the end, cyclists can stay focused on the road.
To meet the evolving needs of today’s cyclists, Wahoo introduces music control to the ELEMNT series, offering playback control directly from the bike computer. With a dedicated music control page featuring options such as Play/Pause, Skip, and Volume Adjustment, cyclists can enjoy their favorite tunes, podcasts, or audiobooks without being distracted by manipulating their phone.
The integration of Wahoo’s new training plans allows third-party training platforms to send planned workouts directly to ELEMNT bike computers, offering an even wider choice for Wahoo enthusiasts. Thanks to this new API feature, users can optimize their training programs and enhance their experience by using sessions from additional providers. Among the new platforms that have chosen to integrate the API are Humango, FinalSurge, Nolio, and Join, adding to established integrations with Wahoo SYSTM and TrainingPeaks. Many more will follow in the coming months, due to strong demand for this feature from users and app creators/owners.
Wahoo also introduces Dark Mode on ELEMNT computers for improved visibility in various lighting conditions.
These software updates underscore Wahoo’s unwavering commitment to innovation and user-centric design, offering unparalleled control over the cycling experience and providing continuous added value to users. Whether managing lights, capturing unforgettable moments with a GoPro, or enjoying music on the road, ELEMNT users can now do it all from the comfort of their handlebars.
