The Search helmet combines the best of both worlds: S-Works innovation and performance with a modern, sleek design. Whether you’re gearing up for a gravel ride from your favorite coffee shop or your morning commute, the Search helmet keeps you cool, no matter your destination.
All adventures tend to take us beyond our comfort zone, so when descents on dirt roads become a bit more technical than usual, the Search offers you the Mips Evolve Core solution. The Search has also received the highest 5-star rating in the internationally renowned Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University test.
Combining confidence-inspiring features, S-Works-derived functionality and ventilation, the Search embodies the ultimate adventure helmet.
Largest vents in its class
When it comes to helmets, aerodynamics and ventilation are often discussed as one and the same. However, aerodynamics isn’t everything when you’re not at the start of a competition, but ventilation combined with functionality and comfort is. The Search helmet features key ventilation technology inspired by S-Works helmets, resulting in a helmet with the largest vents in its class, all wrapped in an adventure-focused package to make it the perfect all-terrain helmet.
4D Brow Cooling
Directly derived from the S-Works Evade 3 and S-Works Prevail 3 models, the Search helmet features the 4D Brow Cooling solution, creating a space between the helmet and the forehead, drawing airflow into the internal channels regardless of the speed you’re riding.
Rear vents
Taking inspiration from the S-Works Prevail 3, the Search features a similar ventilation system with large rear vents, helping to expel hot air, maintaining a constant flow of fresh air inside the helmet.
Features
The quality of an adventure helmet depends on its features. Specialized designed the Search helmet specifically for riders who identify with adventure and exploration and included effective features that make long days on the bike easier. The Search helmet offers sunglass storage in addition to unparalleled comfort, protection, and ventilation. Some might say it’s a dream come true for cyclists whose main concern is going on an adventure.
The Search helmet features innovative sunglass storage with hidden rubber flaps that securely hold the arms without vibrations during long climbs, low-light descents, and whenever you want. Riders can easily insert and remove their glasses, even while in the saddle.
The Search helmet features the FS3 fit system and occipital base adjustment – taken directly from the S-Works Evade 3 and S-Works Prevail 3 models – which, when combined with the sunglass storage solution, allows riders to adjust the helmet angle to ensure both the helmet and glasses remain perfectly and comfortably fitted.
Colors
Whether you’re wearing your favorite team kit on a club ride or prefer a more classic look, there’s a Search color to match your desires. Search helmets are available in a wide range of colors to effortlessly complement your unique style.
Comfort and confidence
If there’s one piece of equipment you shouldn’t have to worry about on a long day on the bike, it’s your helmet. All Specialized helmets are comfortable and trusted by cyclists – and that’s exactly what the brand has done with the Search. Incorporating features that inspire confidence and comfort, the Search helmet was designed to support you when the day’s adventure gets tough.
Mips Evolve Core Solution: The Search helmet integrates Mips Evolve Core technology, a low-friction layer that allows 10 to 15 mm of sliding movement in all directions. Studies indicate that this reduces some of the rotational forces transmitted to the brain during angled impacts.
5-star Virginia Tech® Helmet RatingTM: The Search earned the 5-star Virginia Tech® Helmet RatingTM – the highest rating from the internationally renowned Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
Fit System: The Search helmet shares the same premium FS3 fit system and occipital base adjustment as the S-Works Evade 3 and S-Works Prevail 3, allowing riders to customize the fit for comfort by adjusting the helmet angle to ensure it and their glasses stay in place.
Thin Strap: A thinner 10mm strap minimizes strap noise and provides riders with additional comfort.
