The birth of the Italian helmet brand dates back to 2004. Created by Angelo Gotti, it quickly became an icon in various sports disciplines and in the field of occupational safety. From cycling to snow sports, and equestrianism, KASK represents a global benchmark in helmet production: from the province of Bergamo, the company has conquered international markets with distribution in over 80 countries and a production that has exceeded one million helmets thanks to the work of over 170 employees in its three subsidiaries. The key to success? The protection of the individual, above all, without sacrificing comfort, design, and performance.

Passion and curiosity are two qualities often found in success stories, and these are the same elements that characterized the birth of KASK, the helmet manufacturer based in Bergamo. The brand’s story began in 2004 when, in a small workshop, Angelo Gotti developed innovative helmet models with the dream of creating his own independent production. Thus, in 2006, the first cycling helmets appeared, which would be worn by the riders of a British team that would write the most important pages in the history of modern cycling: Team Sky, now known as Ineos Grenadiers. This was a significant moment in the brand’s history: working alongside engineers and professional athletes to design safer and increasingly high-performance helmets allowed the team to achieve important goals such as seven Tour de France victories, three Giro d’Italia victories, and two Vuelta A España victories.
Not just cycling
Building on the success achieved in two-wheeled sports, the company expanded its collections of sports helmets to alpine skiing (2009) and equestrianism (2015). At the same time, KASK entered the occupational safety market (2008) with the same alchemy that characterized its activity in sports disciplines: maximum protection and high-level design, quickly becoming a leading player. With constant expansion in international markets and across different channels, even the company’s logo changed, while retaining the unmistakable lime green color, now known worldwide.

What has never changed at KASK is the mission to offer high-quality Made in Italy products, focusing on the safety and protection of the individual, whether a professional athlete or a construction worker: a founding principle of the company supported by continuous research and development, meticulous attention to detail, and scrupulous checks before the helmet reaches store shelves in over 80 countries where KASK is distributed. Indeed, from its headquarters in Chiuduno, in the province of Bergamo, the company has expanded into international markets to the point of having subsidiaries in the United States (2010) and Australia (2014), thanks to which the figure of one million helmets sold in a year was reached.
The Celebration
KASK’s 20th-anniversary celebrations include an event open to the public that will take place on June 29th and 30th at Daste Bergamo: a weekend that will feature numerous sports activities, conferences, an exhibition of the helmets that have most marked KASK’s history, and a pop-up store.
Kask’s Values
The attention to product and quality, found in every KASK project, are elements that have determined the company’s growth trajectory, alongside rigorous control of the entire production chain at all stages.
“I have always wanted to transmit my passion for developing quality products to my collaborators,” says Angelo Gotti, founder and CEO of KASK, “In fact, I believe that the people who work within the KASK sphere are themselves the strong point of the company’s success: not only the 170 men and women who work in our three subsidiaries, but also the partners, from suppliers to customers, who contribute every day to the brand’s international positioning, to the point where it has become a reference point in various markets.”
This is evidenced by the numerous victories in sports, the many international awards won, and the more than 20 patents filed during the company’s history.
“Twenty years is an important milestone that leads us to take stock not only in terms of figures, but also to analyze the results obtained from a qualitative point of view,” adds Diego Zambon, General Manager of KASK, “KASK has great potential that can be developed into larger projects, and we believe we can still surprise with what we can achieve.”
The Future
Finally, and not least, the strong link with the territory, which is manifested in the initiatives in which the company participates for the safeguarding, protection, and promotion of the reality in which it operates every day.
KASK envisions the future in continuity with what has been achieved so far, that is, by continuing to develop new products that are increasingly safe and high-performing, while also focusing on environmental and social sustainability. For Angelo Gotti and the company’s management, the value of the company as a precious asset not only for those who work internally, but also for the community in which KASK is established, remains firm.
