Since its introduction in 2015, the CeramicSpeed Oversized Pulley Wheel (OSPW) system has firmly established itself as an iconic product in the world of modern cycling. Praised for its technical efficiency and distinctive appearance, the OSPW pushes the boundaries of drivetrain performance. However, the OSPW system’s well-known visibility is about to change. With the introduction of the new OSPW RS model for Shimano and SRAM Road groupsets, CeramicSpeed propels the OSPW into the future with a distinctly modern and angular design.

This new design brings balance and refinement to the OSPW system, allowing it to blend harmoniously with contemporary bike and groupset design trends.
With an additional level of customization (multiple logo and derailleur pulley options) combined with innovative new technological features, the OSPW RS meets consumer demands for personal expression and a premium riding experience.
First introduced under the Further Drive technology banner with the OSPW X derailleur cage for the SRAM Eagle drivetrain, the new technological features of the OSPW RS: ADR (Active Debris Remover) and ALPHA Disc aim to propel the experience and performance to the next level.

Active Debris Remover (ADR)
Anti-Debris Retention
ADR is a patented technical feature based on a unique combination that makes it virtually impossible for debris to enter the bearing. It consists of a new dust cover design securely anchored in a groove in the derailleur pulley, thus completely enveloping the bearing. This is combined with a slatted groove structure surrounding the dust cover, dynamically extracting debris from the derailleur pulley as it rotates. ADR was developed through a constant alliance between CeramicSpeed’s R&D department, the testing laboratory, and field tests carried out by a professional off-road team.
ALPHA Disc
For the new OSPW RS derailleur cage, CeramicSpeed offers versions equipped with the ultra-durable ALPHA Disc derailleur pulley, initially introduced with the OSPW X for the Eagle drivetrain.
The ALPHA Disc features a two-part construction. A separate narrow-wide tooth profile, made from a composite material offering extended wear protection and noise reduction. In addition, a solid aluminum disc eliminates the possibility of external objects getting caught between the spokes of the derailleur pulley, while adding strength and rigidity to the derailleur pulley design.
The first field tests of this solid disc derailleur pulley design took place during Cyclo-Cross World Cups a few years ago. During the 2022 Cyclo-Cross season, the sponsored Tormans team extensively used the solid disc design and provided valuable feedback on its ability to ensure optimal mud clearance in the worst conditions.

New Design: Improved Quality & Durability
The new OSPW RS design is not just a visual update. The cage itself has been reinforced to offer new levels of strength and durability.
