The race’s 75 km and 155 km loops offer cyclists a sumptuous panorama along a rolling course. Mont Bouquet is its high point, at the cost of a handsome 2,300 m of climbing. More than a competition, the Gran Fondo promises a personal challenge, a unique adventure to be shared with family or friends. The Parc de Saint Nabor de Cornillon, the start and finish village, comes alive throughout this true sporting festival.

ACTIVITIES FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

Indulgence joins forces with sport at this festive Gran Fondo. On Saturday, from 10 a.m., visitors can stroll through
a market of local producers showcasing the delights of Provence Occitane such as wines, honeys, cheeses
and aromatic herbs. Soaps, candles and other handcrafted creations round off this display of regional know-how. Alongside the race, the Expo Village unveils its creations, while a variety of workshops guarantee young and old alike a memorable experience of the Parc de Saint Nabor.

UNSPOILT VILLAGES AND ENCHANTING LANDSCAPES

Provence Occitane is proud to be home to heritage treasures such as La Roque sur Cèze, Montclus and Aiguèze, all labelled “Plus Beaux Villages de France” (Most Beautiful Villages of France). Easily reached from the hilltop village of Cornillon, the fun “Randoland” hikes are ideal for exploring the region’s many gems such as Goudargues, the Venice of the Gard. Vénéjan, a town of character, delights history buffs, while nature lovers revel in the crystal-clear freshness of the Cascades du Sautadet.

PROVENCE OCCITANE, THE NATURE EDITION

Alongside the competition, athletes have many options for enjoying the Provençal spring. The colourful roofs of the Chartreuse de Valbonne can be admired from the many hiking trails that hug it. Among them, the Valbonne state forest reveals an exceptional flora on a 13.7 km loop with a fairy-tale setting. Along the 5 circuits that run through it, the Cèze valley reveals its secrets to horse riders and mountain bikers in total communion with nature. Along its peaceful descents, the Cèze unveils its fauna and flora to adventurers in canoes and on paddleboards.
