6 months to the day before the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Guillaume de Lustrac and Vincent Brèmond set off from the capital to draw the Olympic rings by bike. By adopting a technique known as Strava Art, they traced a desired shape for their route, before following it on their GPS.
10 stages and 2,196 kilometers later, they arrived at the foot of the Eiffel Tower this Sunday, February 4. This feat should allow them to set a new world record for the longest GPS drawing made by bike and as a team, for which they are awaiting official validation.
“We know we’ll probably never go to the Olympics, but we celebrated the event in our own way!” commented Guillaume de Lustrac on his Strava activity.
