For the Spring/Summer 2024 season, Q36.5 is adding new road cycling shoes to its catalog: the Dottore Clima Shoes.

These shoes complete the Clima Collection from the Italian brand, which consists of clothing and accessories focused on thermoregulation and breathability.

“Light as Air”: the Dottore Clima shoes have a sock-like fit, hugging the foot like a sock, thanks to their special Unibody Knitted upper, which is comfortable and lightweight.

During the research and design phase, Q36.5 focused on breathability and moisture transfer. The result is a product ideal for use in all conditions, as well as for the most intense races and training sessions.

The Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team and the brand’s ambassador from Bolzano, Vincenzo Nibali, use the new shoes for their training sessions.

The Dottore Clima shoes incorporate the technology that made the brand’s Unique shoes successful in terms of support and power transfer, while improving thermoregulation efficiency.

The Dottore Clima shoes weigh 270g and are available in grey and black.

They are already available for pre-order on the Q36.5 website q36-5.com and from the brand’s retailers, for delivery in early March.

DOTTORE CLIMA SHOES TECHNICAL FEATURES

The Upper

The specially designed knitted upper improves foot comfort, breathability, and power transfer to the pedals. Made with innovative Unibody Knitted technology, the Dottore Clima shoes’ upper stands out for its lightness and breathability. It features a seamless construction that eliminates pressure points. The Unibody upper consists of a multi-density structure: these strategically placed variable densities provide additional support where needed, while improving overall fit and comfort. This gives the sensation of wearing socks.

The material used to manufacture the upper is structured in several modules, meaning several types of filaments are used. The entire structure is designed using Q36.5’s exclusive technology, without the use of TPU reinforcements or adhesive. Thus, the adopted process is more environmentally friendly and improves the product’s breathability.

The Design

The Q36.5 LAST design has been conceived to adapt to the dynamics of athletes’ feet during effort, when muscles are engaged in different positions. The shoe’s particular design is distinguished by its shape, which ensures a firm and secure hold at the heel, while conforming to the natural curve of the instep, without compressing it. This feature is essential for muscle control and power transfer. The space provided at the toes prevents them from being too tight and becoming numb. Dottore Clima shoes offer a perfect fit and are suitable for feet with a fit between B, C, and D, where A corresponds to a very narrow fit and E to a very wide fit.

The Closure System

Q36.5 has developed a wrap-around structure to increase stability, improve power transfer, and eliminate pressure points. Dottore Clima shoes feature a new closure system with BOA technology. Integrated with the Unibody upper, the BOA system creates a product with a wrap-around design that does not compress the foot and keeps it in place.

The Insole

Solestar insoles give Dottore Clima shoes a natural and optimal neutral foot position. Specifically designed to keep the foot in a natural neutral position, the insoles reduce tension on ligaments, tendons, and joints, thereby optimizing power transmission. Comfort, stability, propulsion, and performance are guaranteed.

The Outsole

The carbon fiber outsole of the Q36.5 Dottore Clima shoes uses innovative biomimetic technology, which optimizes the natural movement of the foot for better power transmission. Aerospace-grade carbon fiber combines with the reduced stack height to offer more direct contact between the foot and the pedal. The outsole also features optimized stiffness for power transfer without any loss. The mapped design at the back of the shoe generates flexibility that reduces tendon tension and muscle overload, while increasing blood circulation.
