Fulcrum launches a new model: the Speed 25+

After the Red Zone Carbon+, the Speed 25+ enters Fulcrum’s high-end family, becoming the lightest low-profile option for disc brakes ever made.

Inspired by the Racing Light XLR, the Speed 25+ are the perfect alternative for steep alpine climbs as well as long distances, thanks to a safe and precise rolling feel that only low-profile wheels can provide.

Big sisters to the Speed 25, their weight has been reduced to 1270 g total and they incorporate the best Fulcrum technologies for excellent results in terms of lightness and handling, without ever compromising on reliability. (ASTM 1 – System weight limit: 120 kg).

The rim is made with a patented FF100 resin blend and benefits from DIMF (Direct In-Mold Matt Finish) technology, a matte finish directly obtained in the mold. The graphics are renewed and interpret the new Form Function Fulcrum scheme, with new gunmetal gray metallic graphics, which, combined with laser treatment, convey all the technical and stylistic research present at the heart of Fulcrum products.

The rim has a depth of 26 mm with a 21 mm internal width (hook to hook). The wheels are compatible with tubeless tires thanks to the undrilled rim, which guarantees maximum strength due to the continuity of the carbon fibers.

The hub, meanwhile, features CULT (Ceramic Ultimate Level Technology) ceramic bearings with a Cup & Cone system, which offers better smoothness and longer component life due to the fact that the loads from the spokes are perfectly aligned with those exerted on the bearing. In addition, fluidity is optimized thanks to the ceramic treatment on all contact surfaces during rolling.

The freehub body is also entirely new: the Speed 25+ introduces a new, lighter version that further reduces friction, thanks to the use of USB ceramic bearings inside the body itself.

The new lighter body is available in XDR, N3W, and HG versions.

The result of this recipe and the use of these technologies is the Speed 25+: an extraordinary wheel guaranteeing versatility, responsiveness, and fluidity, and offering the ultimate in lightness, for a precise and safe riding feel.
