The Bleus de France de Suresnes team became the home where this passion flourished in the late 80s, within a group of friends sharing training sessions and unforgettable journeys. Later, they even organized epic trips, such as their expeditions to the French Cyclocross Cup rounds, dotted with numerous invaluable memories.

Christophe Delamarre started cycling at 7 years old, and he remained loyal to the same club for many, many years.

An illustration of his dedication and unwavering attachment to the teams that believed in him, Christophe has shown rare loyalty throughout his 36 years of competition. The colors of CSM Villeneuve la Garenne, Bleus de France de Suresnes, and Cap Ouest were the only jerseys to drape his determination before his more recent adherence to a Val-d’Oise team. The recent transition to Team Bike Cycliste represents the latest act of this odyssey, an instinctive decision made only two years ago, alongside other emblematic personalities well-known in the regional cycling landscape.

Christophe, an old-school racer, rejects modernity to rely on his sensations, asserting that “cycling is synonymous with health“. At 43, he continues to excel in cyclocross, having done so for 36 seasons without the slightest weariness. His exceptional track record, studded with hundreds of victories, is marked by unforgettable moments, including the highlight of his career, his Masters world champion title in 2011 in Mol, Belgium, where he started 60th in the draw but ended up winning by 40 seconds. He also mentions his French Masters champion title in Saint Cyr en Gravelais, marked by the emotion of the birth of his third child. Finally, he recalls his European Masters 2 champion title in Lorsch, Germany, where he caught up with the leaders of the M1 category. And up to his umpteenth triumph last Sunday at the Île-de-France Masters Cyclocross Championship in Domont under the colors of Team Bike Saint Prix.

His 2011 Masters Cyclocross World Champion title is the highlight of his career.

Christophe’s life brilliantly intertwines the muddy meanders of cyclocross, his career as a trainer at RATP, and his role as an attentive father. Juggling with mastery, he embodies no-stress and simplicity before races. His training sessions, two to three times a week, form a subtle harmony between a few kilometers on the road and cyclocross courses.

Christophe doesn’t just shine on the competitive scene; he becomes a mentor, encouraging the next generation to explore all facets of cycling and to persevere. His children, captivated by football and PlayStation for now, know that he will be there if they decide to join the exhilarating world of cycling.

At over 40 years old, Christophe Delamarre is still passionate about cyclocross.

For the future, Christophe aspires to continue writing his story on the bike, to enjoy himself, and to give his best, regardless of the results. His role in coaching at RATP, awaiting evolution, underscores his unwavering commitment to transmitting the values of sport.

Thus, Christophe Delamarre’s story stands as an enchanting tale, a captivating odyssey at the heart of cyclocross, woven with determination, loyalty, and an infinite love for cycling. A name that resonates in the spotlight, a shooting star that continues to trace its luminous path in the cycling firmament. A story imbued with passion, perseverance, and the timeless magic of cyclocross.
