The German-based team is entering its 14th season, having achieved World Tour status in 2017, and will focus on Grand Tours this year.
The team includes Jai Hindley, 2022 Giro d’Italia champion, Lennard Kämna, Grand Tour stage winner, and Primož Roglič, a four-time Grand Tour winner, recently recruited.
“SRAM, along with our partner Specialized, is thrilled to race with BORA – Hansgrohe, one of the strongest teams in the WorldTour,” commented Ken Lousberg, SRAM CEO. “We look forward to working with Jai Hindley, Aleksandr Vlasov, and continuing with Primož Roglič on SRAM, one of the best riders of this generation.”
“This team is exciting to watch; they have all the tools to win the biggest races in the world, and our goal is to help them,” adds Jason Phillips, SRAM Road Racing Director.
“For me, the partnership with SRAM also means a very personal return,” says Ralph Denk, BORA – Hansgrohe Team Manager. “In the 90s, SRAM gave me the opportunity to take the first steps in my professional career. At the time, I discovered SRAM as an innovation-driven company with a strong practical spirit. We are now looking forward to our partnership with SRAM with real anticipation, and after our first discussions, I can already confirm that the mentality and motivation from back then are still there!”

“From day one, we felt SRAM’s full commitment, which gave us a lot of confidence for the partnership,” said Gerd Kodanik, the team’s Technical Performance Manager. “From a technical perspective, we have seen enormous developments at SRAM in recent years. One thing I really want to highlight is the very wide range of drivetrain options. For every rider and every race, we offer individual and very specific setup options. We have tested SRAM in many different conditions and environments – from cobblestones to rainy and sunny weather. We are very much looking forward to working together.”
“I’m super excited to ride SRAM next year!” says Jai Hindley. “I’ve already been able to test the RED AXS groupset and I’m really happy with it. In particular, the possibility of using a single chainring setup for certain races or stages can be very beneficial in my opinion.”

The team will also be equipped with Hammerhead bike computers. “Hammerhead Karoo 2 is a powerful training tool and will guide our athletes in races with the most relevant real-time data for each rider,” explains Kodanik.
BORA – Hansgrohe will begin its race calendar in Australia at the opening criterium of the Santos Tour Down Under, the Down Under Classic, on January 13.
