Garmin unveils the Tacx Neo 3M, a precise and powerful direct-drive indoor trainer, with multidirectional freedom of movement for greater realism. It also features an innovative electromagnetic motor braking system that offers a virtual flywheel that reproduces the sensations of various types of road surfaces and even simulates descents.

The machine also integrates seamlessly with the Tacx Training app, allowing you to follow training programs synced from your Garmin Connect calendar, participate in virtual group rides, train with WorldTour professionals, and enjoy immersive videos of the world’s most beautiful routes and sites.

“We aspire to make indoor training as realistic as possible. We are proud to achieve this goal with the Tacx Neo 3M, the only indoor trainer with integrated multidirectional movement, a virtual flywheel, and a magnetic motor. Today, cyclists can enjoy unparalleled features and technologies, allowing them to optimize their training like never before,” says Dan Bartel, Garmin’s Vice President of Global Sales.

Key features of the Tacx Neo 3M

• Multidirectional movement: Integrated motion plates complement the trainer’s natural lateral flex by adding front-to-back movement, allowing users to ride in a more natural position. The motion plates can even be activated or deactivated as needed.

• Realistic feel: The virtual flywheel simulates the sensation of pedaling on different road types, such as cobblestones and gravel, allowing you to train on a multitude of terrains.

• App integration: In addition to integration with the Tacx Training app, you can connect to other training platforms, such as TrainerRoad and Zwift, and automatically transfer activity data to the Garmin Connect app.

• Slope simulation: Users can train on realistically simulated slopes of up to 25% gradient and experience the descent simulator.

• Power accuracy: Performance measurements, including power, speed, and cadence, are accurate to within 1% across a wider power range to meet the demands of cyclists of all levels.

• Sprint-ready: The Neo 3M offers maximum stability, even during explosive sprints, and can support up to 2,200 watts.

• Dynamic inertia: Maintains forward motion based on weight, speed, and slope.

• ERG mode: With this mode, power targets are automatically adjusted during workouts.

• Magnets minimize vibrations, making the indoor trainer extremely quiet. The integrated LED indicator changes color depending on the effort. It is also possible to ride without plugging in the indoor trainer and transport it easily thanks to a new integrated handle.
