The New Cervélo Rouvida: Opening New Frontiers

From the scorching asphalt of Kona to the Alpine passes of the Tour de France, and for your desire for triple-digit rides, there’s always a Cervélo to help you set a new record. More than just a means to an end, going fast is also a lot of fun.

The all-new Rouvida lets you go fast, much faster. Designed around the high-performance Fazua Ride60 motor, the Rouvida delivers 60Nm of torque coupled with a 432Wh battery, assisting you up to 25 km/h on the road and gliding over it when the assistance fades. It will also be capable of two-wheel drifting on other terrains. Indeed, the Rouvida is available in two configurations: road and gravel. Cervélo has designed clever interchangeable dropouts that significantly alter the bike’s geometry, so the road bike feels like a road bike and the gravel bike feels like a gravel bike. No compromises, just speed.

Do more to do more

Handling and refined geometry are two of Cervélo’s long-standing hallmarks. They knew there was interest in electric gravel and road bikes, so they designed rather clever dropouts to allow a single frame to do two things at once. These interchangeable dropouts effectively rotate the entire frame to achieve the fit and handling you expect from a Cervélo road bike and a Cervélo gravel bike.

Road vs Gravel Geometry

– 0.7° steeper head angle for better off-road handling

– 57.9 mm trail for road and 62 mm for gravel

– Wide tire clearance – 43.5 mm for gravel and 34 mm for road

– Stack is 7 mm higher and reach is 5 mm shorter with the gravel setup

Fazua Ride60: smooth, powerful, and natural

Fazua’s latest, the Ride60, has already received praise for its ability to seamlessly integrate with your pedaling to provide a ride that feels like a classic bike, but with much more power. Cervélo has made a few modifications to give it a bit more Cervélo flavor, and the result is a bike that looks perfectly at home alongside any of their aerodynamic models.

– The vertical orientation of the battery saved 25g of aerodynamic drag in the wind tunnel and respected our design aesthetic

– The Road Control system places mode and assistance control in a natural and anatomical position on the handlebars

– The top tube display includes a USB charging port for lights or Fazua Ride 60 accessories

– Assistance up to 25 km/h

– Maximum power of 450w

– Maximum battery capacity of 430wh

A classic Cervélo

Although the brief didn’t say “Don’t make it look like an e-bike,” this question was at the forefront of the brand’s mind throughout the process. Bikes are high-performance, refined machines with cutting-edge design. Adding a motor and battery wouldn’t change that. From reorienting the battery to relocating the speed sensor, Cervélo went to great lengths to ensure the Rouvida is as representative of the Cervélo brand as the S5 or Áspero.
