Limited edition KOO Alibi glasses for the 2024 Strade Bianche

A limited edition that celebrates the collaboration between KOO Eyewear and the Strade Bianche as a partner, and also formalizes its continuation for the first edition of the weekend in March 2024. Two versions distinguished by the frame, Black and Light Dust respectively, both with a matte finish, which share the gradient Sunrise lens capable of adding a touch of style inspired by the colors that catch the eye while cycling.

It’s Europe’s southernmost Northern Classic, etched into the Tuscan landscape, and it has become a spring cycling icon. This is what the 2024 edition of the Strade Bianche looks like, the competition that occupies the first weekend of every March: Saturday the 2nd, the professional race followed by the Granfondo for amateurs on Sunday, March 3rd. And it is to highlight the partnership with the event that KOO Eyewear, the Italian brand specializing in the development and production of sports eyewear, is launching the Limited Edition of ALIBI, the brand’s new entry-level model.

A limited edition that celebrates the long-standing collaboration of the Bergamo-based company with the Strade Bianche as a sponsor and formalizes its continuation for 2024 as well. The competition has become an event that marks the beginning of the cycling season, with an increasingly coveted race and an equally sought-after sportive, with a large participation of cyclists from all over the world.

Attention to detail

The ALIBI Limited Edition glasses are inspired by the tones of the two versions of men’s and women’s jerseys created for the 2024 edition of the Granfondo Strade Bianche. Two interpretations that differ in the frame, respectively Black and Light Dust, but both with a Matt finish; the Sunrise lens is the same for both versions. The details on the temples of the glasses provide the finishing touch: the KOO logo and the reproduction of the Strade Bianche logo, in white in the Black Matt version and in Siena red in the Light Dust version, with a gray decorative pattern in the first version and white in the second.

ALIBI glasses feature a Grilamid half-frame that supports the lens in its upper part, creating a profile that allows for a fit suitable for all face types, even the smallest. To prevent fogging and ensure clear vision at all times, the ALIBI mask is equipped with two holes that increase ventilation between the mask and the cyclist’s face. The stability of the mask on the face is ensured by the nose pads and the temples curved inwards: a solution that makes it adhere to the face without discomfort.

The star of this limited edition is the double-mirror Sunrise lens. The double-mirror lens is category 2, which is well suited to the variability of the first sunny days of March. Characterized by its cylindrical geometry, the result is a lens that guarantees a wide field of vision and high protection, as well as good ventilation. The Smoke base reduces and evens out the intensity of ambient light, offering maximum comfort during prolonged activities. Finally, the Sunrise finish adds a touch of style and recalls the colors that catch your eye when you ride.
