POC Introduces the Omne Beacon Helmet

A new version of the iconic Omne helmet, the Omne Beacon combines protection and visibility. POC has just unveiled it at the Rouleur Live show in London.

Designed to offer cyclists even greater safety and visibility in the dark, the Omne Beacon helmet integrates a rechargeable LED rear light, as well as reflective details. Focused on functionality, this helmet features an integrated design inspired by the Omne Air. It offers cyclists superior protection while retaining the Omne range’s codes.

Regarding the new Omne Beacon, Magnus Gustavsson, Head of Equipment for POC, explains: “We often say that the safest helmet is the one you choose to wear. With the Omne Beacon, we are expanding on that idea by offering even more integrated protection from the existing Omne platform. We have achieved a seamless integration of the rear light. It is simple and intuitive to use, so cyclists can always choose the most complete protection.”

The Omne Beacon sets a new standard in integrated protection with its rechargeable LED light. The latter offers numerous operating modes. Combined with reflective details and contrasting colors, this helmet optimizes protection by increasing visibility. It allows cyclists to be perfectly spotted by other road users.

The Omne Beacon can be used all year round. It is an ideal support for cyclists who want to go out and train in all seasons feeling confident. One charge provides approximately 50 hours of light use in flashing mode.

In addition to its LED lighting, the Omne Beacon features an EPS inner structure. This is optimized to offer the ideal balance between lightness and safety. Other technologies, such as Mips protection, are added to the 360° adjustment system which ensures a precise and comfortable fit.

Aerodynamic ventilation ports and a semi-shell construction contribute to a helmet offering the perfect balance of speed and ventilation. Its reduced profile is possible thanks to the targeted thickness of key areas of the internal structure as well as the optimized coverage of the helmet shell.
