The Nago is an iconic saddle that has spanned and marked Prologo’s history from the beginning until today. A saddle that has led the Italian brand to victory in a Tour de France, a Giro d’Italia, two World Championships, and numerous Monuments and classics.

This model has accompanied champions like Bradley Wiggins, Alberto Contador, Peter Sagan, the brothers Andy and Frank Schleck, Fabian Cancellara, Sonny Colbrelli, Thibaut Pinot, and many others to the podium. A model with an always avant-garde design over the years, from the first version in 2007, the second (Evo model) in 2014, to the third (C3 model) in 2016.
From these historical achievements comes the Nago R4 (for Redesign 4), the fourth evolution of an icon, which brings together all its prestigious heritage.

Innovative design, developed with professionals
The Nago R4 project, like all Prologo high-performance oriented products, was developed in close collaboration with various professional teams. It was improved through the results of Pressure Map MyOwn tests, the system that analyzes the pressures exerted during pedaling.
Months of research and development to create a new saddle with an ambitious goal: to satisfy both professionals and the most demanding cyclists, seeking maximum performance and optimal comfort.
The Nago R4’s design is innovative and aerodynamic, its weight is reduced to a minimum, and its dimensions of 245 x 137 mm are compact. The traditional T-shape allows good freedom of movement, while the slightly advanced anatomical center allows for a more aggressive riding position. The semi-round ergonomic shape facilitates forward pelvic rotation, allowing effortless reach to the handlebars.
All these choices are carefully studied to ensure maximum pedaling efficiency in every position.

Nago R4 PAS and NAGO R4, open and closed versions
The open version Nago R4 PAS features a shell with two completely separate and independent side sections. It is produced with latest-generation variable-density foam. It aims to ensure excellent support and adequate comfort during all phases of pedaling. In the center of the saddle, there is the Prologo PAS system: a large central channel combined with a perforated base, to eliminate pressure even during maximum pedaling effort.
The closed version Nago R4, on the other hand, has a shell with three independent sections, which cover the entire surface of the saddle. In the center of the saddle, which is closed, however, is Prologo’s Active Base system: under the central part of the cover, the seat base is still perforated, as in the open model. This solution allows combining the advantages of a closed saddle with a larger support surface, with the advantages of an open-base saddle.
The cover is minimal and functional. The anatomical center is clearly indicated in the middle of the saddle, useful for correct positioning, while on the rear right of the cover are the model specifications and geographical coordinates 45°37′N 9°28′E, linked to Prologo’s headquarters in Busnago, near Milan, Italy.

Nago R4 147, for even more comfort
The Nago R4 and Nago R4 PAS, with a width of 137 mm, are currently the narrowest ergonomic saddles in the Prologo collection. These two models were designed to adapt to the morphology of cyclists with narrower sit bones.
To better meet the needs of all cyclists, Prologo has also developed the two models Nago R4 147 and Nago R4 147 PAS, with a width of 147 mm. These saddles, compared to the narrower ones, have padding increased by 10 mm on the sides and 3 mm in height.
Both 147 models are ideal for:
– cyclists with a greater sit bone distance, who require a larger support base on the saddle
– cyclists with a high body mass index (BMI), who can benefit from increased padding for a more optimal weight distribution
– cyclists looking for an even more comfortable saddle

A carbon base and different rails, adapted to each cyclist
All versions of the new saddle have a long injected carbon fiber base, a material that offers an excellent compromise between stiffness and comfort.
Each model is also available with two different types of rails:
– Nack (Nano Carbon Fiber) rails composed of carbon fiber, Kevlar, and aluminum filaments. They are intended for performance-oriented cyclists seeking maximum stiffness and lightness.
– TiroX rails made of lightweight alloy steel, a material with an excellent balance between weight and strength. They give the saddle less stiffness and superior vibration absorption, ideal for those seeking improved comfort.
All new Nago R4 models are already available on http://www.prologo.it and at the best retailers.
The catalog price is €229 for versions with Nack rails, and €139 for versions with TiroX rails.
