Some choose to rest on the weekend, others decide to push themselves with a new sporting challenge. For the latter, Suunto unveils the Suunto Race. A new performance-oriented watch featuring an AMOLED display, fitness tracking, offline mapping, and outstanding battery life. The perfect tool to fully experience training, competitions, and everything in between! In addition to this major new product, the Finnish brand is expanding its range with bone conduction headphones to allow athletes to enjoy their adventures with music.

For its Suunto Race, the Finnish brand is focusing on AMOLED by integrating it into a sports watch with a bold design. Whether day or night, the 1.43’’ high-definition sapphire glass touchscreen, renowned for its resistance, illuminates to make information clear and readable.

The Suunto Race boasts one of the longest battery lives in its category: between 40h and 120h of battery life in activity tracking. No more compromises between battery life and the level of detail of the information displayed: with detailed offline maps, it highlights trails, contour lines, rivers, cliffs, and all other important landmarks.
This new model offers unparalleled precision thanks to the dual-band GNSS system and the barometric altimeter.
The addition of a navigation dial makes exploring menus, features, and mapping much simpler and more intuitive, regardless of the conditions.
Even more precise athlete tracking
To support athletes in their preparation and ensure weekly goals are met, the Suunto Race displays a detailed view of training load, recovery effectiveness, and progress made directly from their watch.
The Suunto Race makes current and forecasted weather conditions visible at a glance for the next few hours, allowing users to always train at the best time of day or anticipate even the most unpredictable weather.
New features have been developed by Suunto, such as the integration of Strava segments for running and cycling, as well as the calculation and comparison of the intensity of an indoor sports session. The Suunto Race offers over 95 sport modes.
Even when the running shoes are put away, the Suunto Race provides data on its user’s overall physical fitness.
Thanks to HRV (Heart Rate Variability) analysis, it can evaluate recovery effectiveness by comparing recent values to long-term HRV. Beyond sports activities, it encourages a healthy and active lifestyle by providing precise information on recovery, daily steps, calories, heart rate, sleep, and much more.
The Suunto Race will be available in France from October 17th in stainless steel (€449). A second titanium version (€549) will complete the range in the coming weeks.
Suunto Wing, adventure with music

At the same time as the Suunto Race, the brand is launching Suunto Wing, its first bone conduction headphones. With this innovative sound transmission technology, Suunto moves away from traditional air vibration operation by deploying a technology adapted for athletes. A first for a sports brand.
All surrounding noises such as car traffic or nearby bikes are clearly audible, allowing users to focus on what matters most: safety in urban environments and immersion during outdoor excursions.
Suunto Wing headphones will be available from October 17, 2023, in Lava Red and Black colors, priced at €199.
