Pinarello Launches the Dogma X While Expanding its X SERIES Endurance Range

The Dogma X is inspired by cyclists who love long rides. This bike was designed with the new X-STAYS technology and ample tire clearance. Its “Endurance” geometry and design strike a balance between performance and ride comfort, attempting to reshape how we think about endurance and speed.

Unlike most endurance bikes that are based on concepts from an era when tires were narrow and required inner tubes, the Dogma X leverages modern carbon technology and offers generous tire clearance up to 35mm to deliver a new experience.

Frame manufacturers shouldn’t have to rely on heavy suspension systems to provide comfort at the expense of performance. Pinarello therefore designed the X-STAYS chainstays to absorb vibrations without sacrificing frame weight or bottom bracket shell stiffness.

The X-STAYS chainstays are made from carefully chosen carbon fiber layups and a reduced diameter in the curved seatstays. This dampens vibrations while increasing lateral stiffness and compensating for the lengthening of the chainstays.

And by doubling the attachment points, the upper supports disperse forces over two points on the seat tube to further reduce vibration transfer to the rider’s back.

This innovative design ensures a high level of comfort without sacrificing performance. And when paired with a generous 35mm tire clearance and modern endurance wheels, Pinarello aims to guarantee comfort while allowing for low weight and high speeds.

The X range takes a leap forward

Pinarello has also strengthened its X SERIES endurance range with the launch of the X9, X7, and X5 in addition to the X3 and X1 released earlier this year.
Here again, rather than focusing solely on performance, the X SERIES perfectly complements the Dogma and has been specifically designed to maximize rider comfort and vibration absorption, thanks to the use of a carbon fiber layer and a redesigned rear triangle.

X-STAYS 2.0 Chainstays

This is a new Pinarello technology that absorbs vibrations while ensuring a lightweight and high-performance frame. Two different carbon fiber layers (T900 and T700) are used in the seatstays, combined with a thinner diameter in the curved seatstays, to provide a smoother ride, even on the roughest terrain. Additionally, the double-attachment upper supports allow X SERIES frames to better disperse forces over two points on the seat tube, further reducing vibration transfer to the rider’s back.

Tire clearance up to 35mm

The last two editions of Paris-Roubaix were won on standard road frames equipped with 32mm tubeless tires. This is concrete proof of the unparalleled balance between speed and control that increased tire clearance can offer. The Pinarello X SERIES comes with 35mm tires, unleashing the true potential of the frames in terms of comfort and speed, wherever you are.

A new geometry

Adopting the proven “Endurance +” geometry previously featured on the X3/1 and Paris models, the Pinarello X caters to a wide variety of cyclists. Endurance+ models feature a taller head tube and a more compact top tube, promoting a relaxed riding position that allows bike fitters to precisely fit all types of riders to the X SERIES without resorting to excessive use of spacers or larger frames.
