Wahoo once again defines the future of the indoor riding experience with the new KICKR MOVE and KICKR BIKE SHIFT.

Wahoo Fitness, a leading company in endurance athlete technology, has announced the introduction of two new products to its training ecosystem, bringing with them a whole new indoor cycling experience.

In September 2022, the market-leading indoor trainer, KICKR, stood out from competitors with the introduction of Wi-Fi (and remains the only indoor trainer to have done so). A year later, Wahoo has taken a giant leap forward compared to its competitors with the release of the KICKR MOVE – delivering the closest real-world riding feel. This brand new addition to the Wahoo range features a major asset: the addition of 20 cm of fore-aft movement to the indoor trainer’s chassis. The result: an entirely new sensation, with the two integrated axes of movement creating a remarkably similar feeling to outdoor cycling. The riding experience is more exciting, more comfortable, and more realistic than ever before!

The KICKR MOVE is placed on rollers that move along a curved rail. When the cyclist increases or decreases pedaling power, stands up or sits down on the saddle, or simply readjusts their position – the indoor trainer moves back and forth with them. The rail is curved to allow gravity to control the amount of movement.

Small adjustments on the saddle will result in small movements, while standing up for a sprint will result in more movement. The KICKR MOVE also includes a lever to deactivate the movement, making it easier to get on the bike, move it, or adapt it to the cyclist’s preferences.

In parallel with the release of the KICKR MOVE, Wahoo has created an easy-to-use “add-on” accessory to make it compatible with the KICKR CLIMB. Mounted at the base of the KICKR CLIMB, the adapter follows the exact same arc of movement as the KICKR MOVE, so that the whole system works perfectly in unison. Once combined with the KICKR HEADWIND, they create an unparalleled indoor cycling experience.

Wahoo also unveils a brand new smart bike: the KICKR BIKE SHIFT.

With the goal of creating a more affordable smart indoor bike, the KICKR BIKE SHIFT offers the unparalleled riding feel of the KICKR BIKE and retains key technologies such as Reality Shift, True Fit, Real Ride Feel, and, of course, Wi-Fi.
Wahoo has helped democratize the smart bike to a wider audience by refining features, such as the introduction of a new braking system and belt drive to deliver ultra-fast resistance response to inclines and power changes – in addition to even quieter operation than before. The KICKR BIKE SHIFT will be offered to customers alongside the current, globally recognized leader, the Wahoo KICKR BIKE.

Chip Hawkins, founder of Wahoo, commented: “Wahoo was founded on the principle of revealing the best athlete in all of us. With innovation at the heart of everything we do, we couldn’t be prouder to have once again pushed indoor cycling into a new reality”.

To facilitate the transition from delivery to use, Wahoo is introducing a brand new unboxing experience, which will be extended to the entire product range. An easy slide mechanism has been added to the KICKR MOVE box, preventing users from having to lift a heavy device out of its packaging.

The packaging is also more environmentally friendly, with a 90% reduction in non-recyclable foam.
Next, a QR code will take cyclists to a quick and simple digital guide, in the form of videos.

For the KICKR BIKE and KICKR BIKE SHIFT, this will be a detailed installation and adjustment video to help with indoor trainer setup. For the KICKR CORE, KICKR, and KICKR MOVE, personalized assembly instructions will be offered based on the user’s unique bike specifications, with all necessary tools, accessories, and shims clearly detailed.
