In parallel with the mechanical 12-speed GRX components, Shimano introduces a pair of carbon Gravel wheels specially designed to withstand the rigors of rough trails: the RX880.

The new RX880 wheelset is 64 g lighter than the previous version and features the same 32 mm rim depth to optimize acceleration and climbing efficiency. The RX880 wheels are tubeless-ready and have an internal width of 25 mm, suitable for tires from 32 mm to 50 mm wide.
Compatibility is improved thanks to a redesigned Direct Engagement hub concept, borrowed from Dura-Ace wheels, and easy conversion between Micro Spline (for cassettes with 10-tooth smallest cog) and HG L2 12-speed freehub bodies. It offers fast and efficient engagement for quick acceleration, regardless of the riding surface. The RX880 hubs and rims feature 24 spokes front and rear, maximizing strength and reliability.
