The new GHIBLI 0.9 represents a real turning point in the sector, the culmination of Campagnolo’s research and development in the world of carbon track wheels. Hyperbole? We might think so, but disc wheels are one of the most difficult bike components to master correctly… until now, at least.

It is precisely for this reason that Campagnolo is proud to announce a new partnership with the Italian Cycling Federation (FCI): one of the strongest track cycling teams in the world will indeed use the new GHIBLI 0.9 wheels. It is the Sprint and Endurance riders who will use these wheels, approved for the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships in Scotland, which take place from Thursday, August 3 to Sunday, August 13.

Meanwhile, the world’s best track cyclists will arrive in Glasgow to try and claim the famous rainbow jersey. But they will also be joined by the best road cyclists, para-cyclists, and many others, as this is the first UCI Cycling World Championship to host 13 distinct World Championships as part of a single, memorable competition.

Regarding what awaits the competitive Italian national team and its avant-garde GHIBLI 0.9 wheels in Glasgow, the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, named after one of Great Britain’s greatest track cyclists, features long straights, tight turns, and steep banks. Generally speaking, the track is perfect for “sprint” events, but certainly more arduous for endurance riders. But, whatever event the Italian track riders have to face, their task will be made easier and their speed maintained by the impressive technological endowment of the GHIBLI 0.9 wheels.

In summary: aerodynamic supremacy, versatile speed, and reduced rolling resistance.

Aerodynamic supremacy

Campagnolo’s team of designers and engineers created the fast and attractive GHIBLI 0.9 track wheel with a reduced dish. This solution features a smaller frontal aerodynamic profile, which helps limit drag and increase speed.

Versatile speed

The innovative C21 rim section design of the new Ghibli 0.9 track wheel allows for the mounting of tubeless tires from 23 to 28 mm. Campagnolo was very happy to offer this solution, requested by the best riders of the Italian track cycling team, and thus satisfy their wish. The wheel offers superior performance, rolling efficiency, and safety compared to a tubular setup, while simplifying mounting and maintenance thanks to its innovative valve design.

Reduced rolling resistance

The tubeless setup and the new friction-free sealing of the famous CULT (Ceramic Ultimate Level Technology) bearings allowed the GHIBLI 0.9 wheels to achieve unprecedented rolling levels during testing, verified on the track by today’s best riders.

As always, it is a true work of carbon art signed by Campagnolo, entirely hand-assembled by specialized operators of the company and 100% controlled by state-of-the-art electronic instruments. This process guarantees every Campagnolo wheel optimal performance and reliability, both for the riders of the Italian track cycling team, who will be seeking gold at the 2023 UCI World Championships, and for amateur cyclists who wish to beat their personal best.

In summary, Campagnolo’s new GHIBLI 0.9 carbon wheel will allow every cyclist to push their limits and dream big.
