Origine launches the Axxome 3

For a decade, Axxome bikes have been crisscrossing roads and racking up kilometers. Praised by customers, the Axxome is undergoing a radical evolution without denying its DNA and what has made it successful all these years. As with its predecessors, Origine has retained the recipe of performance, lightness, responsiveness, ease, and comfort.

A brand new, even more powerful chassis for even greater versatility and comfort. The Axxome is fluid and at ease on even more terrains, to glide over smooth roads, conquer mountain passes, or caress cobblestones. With the Axxome, differences in road surface are no longer a problem; they are even barely noticeable, as it smooths out imperfections and plays with the terrain it rides on.

Origine is now proud to invest directly and massively in the product, especially in those small details that make big differences, even on very discreet or invisible elements like the quality of the layups. The brand invests in very expensive molding techniques. The proportion of the design office is extraordinary compared to the payroll. This investment is possible because the choice was made not to have colossal marketing expenses, such as a deliberate absence from the World Tour. Furthermore, there is no distribution system that assigns margins to each intermediary.

The money spent on the product is considered an investment because it leads to customer satisfaction; customers become the best ambassadors in the field. Proof of this is that many of them are on their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th Origine bike since the brand’s creation.

UML

In 2021, the Axxome Evo introduced UML carbon. The results were immediately impressive. To develop this Axxome, Origine let itself be guided by what UML dictated. The shape of the tubes was optimized, as was the appearance of the frame, to create a mold that gets the best out of the Unique Matrix Layup. Unlike the Axxome II Evo, the entire Axxome mold was designed around the Unique Matrix Layup. The front triangle was molded using the UML process; now, the entire frame, front and rear triangles, are UML molded. What visually results from the Axxome was not dictated by an aesthetic desire, but by the optimization of UML. The eye was guided by what the technology dictated. The shapes of the tubes, the clearances at key points, all of this is the result of modeling that takes into account UML optimization while respecting fluid mechanics.

The result when riding is an even livelier and more dynamic Axxome, with even better filtering capacity, always without any marketing gimmicks or appendages, and with a natural consequence on weight. The consequence is an even clearer watt transfer with an also optimized Dynamic Response. As a reminder, Dynamic Response is the frame’s return effect, as if you were drawing a bow and releasing it, the energy is restored. Dynamic Response is the perfect management of responsiveness with a controlled return speed thanks to the subtlety of the layup directions. In the internal laboratory, the Axxome III filters 12% more vibrations. “If performance is not limited to the notion of speed or rigidity, it is closer to the definition of efficiency: achieving the best level of results for the lowest expenditure or the ability to produce maximum results with minimum effort.

Among the phenomena responsible for discomfort on a bike, postural and ergonomic problems can cause joint pain, tendinopathies due to overexertion or stretching. Two Axxome frames, two philosophies, one single performance requirement

While the mold has been optimized for UML, Origine has also evolved EPS molding. The two processes being related, the work around UML has greatly advanced EPS. Performance is only valuable if the equipment is adapted to a practice, so the needs will differ from one cyclist to another, and the expected performance will not be the same depending on the riders and terrains. Because at Origine there are no levels of range, but only frames that suit you, the AXXOME GTO has been developed. While the Axxome GTR has a Dynamic Response focused on explosiveness, the Axxome GTO has been designed for cyclists who prioritize endurance and wish to maintain this ease in all circumstances, despite accumulated hours in the saddle and varying road surfaces. CCT+: Because you don’t change a winning team, CCT+ completes the recipe for the Axxome GTR and GTO. As a reminder, CCT+ is the rear triangle formed by a single continuous tube from the bottom bracket shell.
