Garmin® today announced the launch of the fēnix 7 Pro® series, high-end multisport GPS smartwatches with solar charging designed to help athletes and adventurers perform at their best. With professional-level performance data, new mapping features, and continuous health and wellness tracking, the fēnix 7 Pro series is designed to be the ultimate outdoor watch. In addition, each model is equipped with an integrated LED flashlight and solar charging glass offering exceptional battery life of 37 days in smartwatch mode, 122 hours with GPS, and up to 139 hours in expedition mode.
“For over a decade, many customers have trusted the fēnix premium watch series for all their adventures. We are delighted to be able to offer them even more innovation in training and mapping with the new fēnix 7 Pro series. Whether exploring steep trails or climbing snowy peaks, the fēnix 7 Pro will be their partner to accompany them on all paths.” – Dan Bartel, Garmin Vice President of Global Consumer Sales.

New features of the fēnix 7 Pro series
– Integrated LED flashlight: available on all watches in the series, regardless of size. Adjustable intensity lighting with a red safety light and a strobe mode providing better visibility and safety during training in the dark.
– Latest generation MIP display: reworked pixels, backlight, and solar charging glass improve screen readability and give the watch superior brightness, better energy efficiency, and optimal adaptability to different lighting conditions, without compromising the exceptional performance of the MIP display in direct sunlight.
– Heart rate sensor: improved optical sensors combined with sport-specific algorithms allow for better performance tracking across a wider range of activities to better understand how the body reacts to effort.
– Endurance score: measures the ability to sustain prolonged effort by taking into account training data such as Vo2 Max, short- and long-term training loads, as well as all data recorded during sports activities.
– Hill score: evaluates the ability to run uphill by measuring running power on steep slopes and running endurance for long ascents. Estimates progress over time using indicators such as Vo2 Max evolution and training history.
The Up Ahead mode: allows you to view certain points of interest (POI) on a route, such as landmarks, aid stations, and refreshment zones.
– Weather map overlay: provides an improved overview of weather forecasts with the ability to display air quality, precipitation areas, cloud cover, wind, and much more on the map.
– Relief shading: improves the display quality of topographic maps for a better understanding of terrain.
– Additional preloaded activities: rafting, motocross, team sports, and dozens of other new activities to diversify your practices.

Ultimate performance
The fēnix 7 Pro series offers a variety of integrated sports applications to meet all challenges, whether hiking, mountain biking, or strength training. Every morning, athletes can receive a training readiness score to help them determine if the day is suitable for effort or relaxation.
In addition, advanced training metrics such as hill score, endurance score, Vo2 max, and training status are available to assess overall performance.
During a race, the PacePro™ feature provides GPS-based pacing guidance based on downloaded courses or selected distances. More specifically for trail running or cycling, the ClimbPro feature displays real-time information on current and upcoming climbs. The grade-adjusted pace feature, meanwhile, evaluates the pace needed to exert equivalent effort on flat or uphill terrain.
In addition, to better manage their efforts, athletes have access to real-time Stamina and power data, allowing them to track their energy expenditure.
The race widget available on the fēnix 7 Pro series offers athletes optimal preparation for their races. It provides them with training tips, personalized daily workout suggestions, as well as a race time prediction based on course details, weather conditions, and their past performance. They can also view personalized training suggestions that evolve based on their performance and recovery time after each workout while taking into account future races scheduled in their Garmin Connect™ calendar.

Unique navigation features on the market
Equipped with high-end mapping features, the fēnix 7 Pro series is suitable for all adventures, including those off the beaten path:
– SatIQ™ technology and multi-band GPS signal reception allow for very precise geolocation, even in difficult environments, while optimizing battery life.
– Preloaded TopoActive maps offer free multi-continent mapping that covers the entire world.
– Outdoor Maps+ provides adventurers with premium mapping content, such as satellite imagery, public maps, advanced TOPO maps, etc., directly on the watch.
– Preloaded SkiView™ maps allow skiers to know the names of runs and their difficulty level in over 2,000 ski resorts worldwide.
– CourseView maps offer golfers preloaded color maps of over 43,000 golf courses worldwide.
– Athletes can create or find existing courses from the Garmin Connect app and easily sync them with the watch.
– Those traveling can create round-trip courses from their wrist using the Trendline™ popular routing feature to identify the best routes in an area.
Always on the wrist
Thanks to their multi-week battery life and solar charging, fēnix 7 Pro series watches do not need to be removed and recharged every night. Thus, athletes can benefit from continuous tracking of their health and well-being. Indeed, the watches are equipped with a Pulse Ox wrist oximeter and a Body Battery™ energy monitor that helps identify the most suitable times for activity and rest. They also integrate advanced tracking and sleep score to better understand how the body recovers. Upon waking, they can view a morning report that gives them a personalized overview of their sleep, offers training suggestions, and provides information on their heart rate variability (HRV status) and much more. For travelers, the Jet Lag feature allows them to enter travel details into the Garmin Connect calendar to receive personalized advice on light exposure, sleep schedules, and exercise to minimize the effects of jet lag.
The fēnix 7 Pro series keeps you connected, even when on the go. Indeed, when the watch is connected to a compatible smartphone, tall smart notifications can be viewed directly from the wrist. In addition, safety and tracking features, such as incident detection, assistance, and LiveTrack, offer athletes peace of mind during their training sessions. They can also easily pay with their watch using Garmin Pay™ contactless and download music from Spotify®, Deezer, or Amazon Music (premium subscription required) to listen to music without a phone.
