Four decades after the first Specialized Allez appeared, the new Allez takes up the torch from its ancestors and remains the best in its class. The lightest in its category, it offers more confidence, versatility, and performance than ever before—for more cyclists than ever before. Whether you’re looking for a high-end aluminum frame, a bike for weekend rides and daily commutes where you don’t want to waste time, or just starting your journey around the world, the road to performance begins with Allez.

The Specialized Allez is the lightest bike in its category (that of aluminum bikes equipped with disc brakes in the same price range and commercially available). Starting with double-butted E5 Premium Aluminum, the Allez frame weighs only 1375 grams. In addition, the full carbon fork further reduces weight while helping to increase handling.

If you didn’t grow up when race bikes were made of steel, you might be wondering what exactly a butted tube is and why Specialized uses it. Generally reserved for high-end steel race bikes, like the original Allez, a butted tube has the same outer diameter, but the internal wall thickness varies along the tube. It is generally thicker at each end and thinner in the middle. The thicker ends add stiffness and strength where needed, while the thinner central part adds flexibility and contributes to comfort. This results in a smoother, more responsive ride with a much lighter and more durable frame. You don’t need to worry about all this technology; just know that this is exactly why the Allez is so enjoyable to ride.

Legendary Lineage
This E5 Premium aluminum frame is light, fast, and durable. The excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio combined with the braking power of disc brakes offers ultimate confidence at any speed and in any weather conditions. Moreover, Specialized has equipped it with the Roubaix model’s Endurance Geometry to provide better comfort over long distances and great stability, while ensuring the Allez retains the handling of a race bike on winding roads.
The Roubaix earned its legendary status as the ultimate Endurance bike largely due to its geometry.
Okay, the seven victories at Paris-Roubaix—the world’s toughest one-day race—might have helped. With a taller head tube and a slacker head angle, the Roubaix-inspired geometry relieves pressure on your body at all contact points with the bike, which translates to more comfort while riding and thus more performance.

No More Limits
Equally capable of taking you to work or school as it is of achieving your city’s most contested KOM or your weekend group ride, the rack and fender mounts ensure the Allez’s versatility, no matter what road you take it on. With tire clearance up to 35 mm (32 mm with fenders), you’ll be ready to tackle the roughest roads without fear, regardless of the surface. If those roads get steep, the Allez has a wide gear range to keep your legs spinning comfortably and efficiently. Versatility also means making this bike accessible to everyone. That’s why Specialized created 7 sizes, from 44 cm to 61 cm. Whether you’re 1.45 m or 1.95 m tall, there’s an Allez for you.

Great Versatility
The versatility of the rack and fender mounts is obvious, but how is wider tire clearance useful? First, a wider tire allows for a smoother ride on any surface. But when the surface gets rough—potholes, chip seal, damaged asphalt, cracked concrete—the increased tire volume acts like suspension, helping to isolate you from it all. If you really want to explore, the ability to fit a 35 mm tire means you have the versatility to ride on more surfaces—even gravel paths are no problem for the Allez, as this 35 mm tire offers traction and a smooth ride even when the road ends.
A Long-Standing Heritage
From its debut in 1981 as the first steel race bike, through the first aluminum version in 1994, to today’s lightest high-end aluminum bike in its category, the Allez has always been an incredible combination of performance and confidence.
Over its 40 years of production, it has improved with each new model. Today’s Allez is not only the lightest bike in its category. It’s the best Allez ever, ready to welcome a new generation of cyclists to the road.
