KASK innovates in cycling helmet design by introducing the Elemento, an uncompromising helmet with a unique design and a multitude of innovative technologies that guarantee aerodynamics, ventilation, and safety at the highest level. The Elemento is aimed at professional and semi-professional athletes in road cycling, mountain biking, cyclocross, and gravel, and generally at all cyclists seeking performance.

Always active in research and development of products in close contact with its teams and athletes, KASK collaborated with the INEOS Grenadiers team on the Elemento project from its inception.
The result is a helmet with an innovative design that sets a new standard for the cycling world.
The genesis of the Elemento began in 2020 with the analysis of a series of scientific publications that studied the variation in athlete performance when their body temperature changed.

The conclusion of these studies is that, in terms of performance, an athlete’s thermal comfort is as important as the helmet’s aerodynamics and weight.
Based on these studies, the Elemento was thus designed to be a very aerodynamic and at the same time highly ventilated helmet, thanks to its design and the introduction of certain technological innovations, such as Fluid Carbon 12 and Multipod.
Fluid Carbon 12 and Multipod
Fluid Carbon 12 is a composite technopolymer capable of absorbing more impact energy than traditional materials and distributing the generated force more evenly throughout the helmet. This property allowed KASK engineers to increase the size of the internal channels for greater ventilation, and at the same time reduce the size of the ventilation holes to improve aerodynamics.
Multipod is a structure designed by KASK, 3D printed and used as the internal lining of the Elemento. This elastomer material was born from studies on the KASK Rotational Impact WG11 Test, the testing protocol created by KASK that allowed for improved helmet behavior in various types of impacts and provided useful information to develop an even higher level of safety. Indeed, Multipod allows for better management of energy resulting from linear and rotational impacts and has isotropic behavior, meaning it behaves the same way regardless of the direction in which the force is applied.

Thus, the Elemento achieved five stars in the Virginia Tech reference test, which measures helmet performance in linear and rotational impacts. Finally, the particular design of the Multipod structure also significantly improved the Elemento’s ventilation, thereby increasing its thermal regulation capabilities.
Other technical features
Among the Elemento’s other features are OCTOFIT+, the new helmet adjustment system that ensures greater comfort and stability, and the “Pro” chin strap, the same extremely lightweight chin strap used by the INEOS Grenadiers team.
The Elemento also features a reflective insert at the rear for increased cyclist visibility and two types of internal lining: in addition to the aforementioned Multipod, there is a merino wool lining to ensure unprecedented comfort and thermoregulation.

Elemento colors
The Elemento is available in classic Black and White, as well as new metallic finish colors: Beetle Green, Oxford Blue, Red, and Silver.
The Elemento, like other products in the KASK family, was developed in accordance with the KASK Rotational Impact WG11 Test, the internal protocol adopted by KASK that measures the performance of its helmets in rotational impacts.
The Elemento weighs only 260 grams (size M) and is available at a suggested retail price of €375.
