With almost 800 participants at the starting line this Sunday, April 23, across all courses, the Cyclo Sud Bourgogne is reconnecting with its participants and establishing itself as a must-do sportive at the start of the season.
After a start to the day under morning mist, the sky quickly brightened to the delight of competitors and recreational riders who came to challenge the Burgundy roads. On demanding and hilly courses, participants tackled the region’s most beautiful passes and small roads. Col de Beaufer, de Brancion, du Navois, de la Pistole, des Chèvres—it was necessary to accelerate on every climb and find the energy to stay in the peloton.

Competitors on the Parcours du Tournugeois (135km & 2,200m D+) as well as those on the Parcours du Maconnais (88km & 1,300m D+) did not let up their effort to reach the finish line in record time, bringing rain and bad weather in their wake.
Congratulations to Belgian Maxim PIRARD for his great victory on the longest course, completing the 135km in 3h39m22s, as well as to Franck LE MAUFF for his 2h30m29s on the Parcours du Maconnais.

Among the women, congratulations to Eva POIROT (4h27m12s) for her victory on the Grand Parcours and to Marina TIGE (2h35m35s) for her excellent performance on the Parcours du Maconnais.
In addition to the competitors, hundreds of recreational riders were able to appreciate the charms of the Massif Sud Bourgogne by starting the Parcours du Crémant (52km & 680m D+) and enjoying a safely marked course.
The Cyclo Sud Bourgogne opened the Cycling Challenge calendar with the first round of the Cannondale Gravel’Tour on April 22 and the first round of the Rotor Cyclo’Tour on April 23. See you in Banassac next weekend for the Lozérienne Gravel & Cyclo to experience the rest of the season.
