Acer enters the e-bike market with the ebii, designed for urban commuting and powered by AI.
Acer today announced the Acer ebii, a centrally-motorized electric bike, controlled by Artificial Intelligence (AI), which uses an intelligent control system for a pleasant and effortless ride. ebiiAssist automatically adapts to the road according to the route, pedaling force, and user preferences for a more comfortable journey. Its long-lasting battery, smart safety features, and original lightweight design allow users to move elegantly and comfortably, with a reduced carbon footprint.

A modular architecture made possible by an intelligent control system
The Acer ebii stands out with its characteristic modular architecture that integrates the battery pack and the intelligent control system into a single compact housing. Its innovative design allows for easy charging and transport of batteries, facilitates maintenance, and ensures simple upgrades, all with a sleek and practical design.
The electric bike stands out with a unique fork structure and a single-block motorization with a powerful 250/350 W motor located in the front hub, a 48 V CAN BUS charger, and 40 Nm of torque, allowing assisted riding up to 25 km/h.
Equipped with AI technologies for an adaptive riding experience
Thanks to AI-powered ebiiAssist, the bike adapts to the user’s pedaling force, road conditions, and desired assistance level, while intelligently adjusting settings as it is used, for an even more personalized experience. During rides, the controller leverages its artificial intelligence technology to provide an adaptive and effortless riding experience.
The ebii’s AI also leverages big data and collects information from its users through the ebiiGO companion app. They can connect their smartphone to the e-bike via Bluetooth, then use ebiiGO to check recommended routes, battery life, riding speed, automatic unlock settings, and more, for better control of their urban commutes. They can also access ebiiRide, an adaptive task management application that works with ebiiAssist to ensure they never run out of battery on the road. ebiiRide offers three modes to adjust according to the user’s riding preference:
- Eco mode to save energy during the ride;
- My ebii mode for smart use, configured according to preferences;
- Boost mode to adjust speed and motor power according to road conditions and the remaining distance to reach the destination.
Long-lasting removable battery
The ebii is equipped with a durable, removable battery that provides up to 110 km of autonomy and charges to 100% in just 2.5 hours, while AI-optimized power distribution extends its lifespan for a full day of riding. It features a high-integrity design by MPS Energy, with a unique cell and bracket configuration for improved charge protection and greater safety. The fast-charging battery has also undergone rigorous testing and has been certified to ensure maximum reliability and safety.
The battery can be easily removed and used as a portable charger for other devices. A well-designed handle can also be attached to the battery for easier transport. Users can also check the battery power via the ebiiGO app or set up alerts on the LED screen located on the handlebars, which can display the remaining travel time, for example.
Advanced safety features for peace of mind
E-bike enthusiasts can now hit the road with confidence, as the Acer ebii is equipped with a series of advanced safety features. The ebii’s headlights and taillights automatically turn on in low light conditions, with additional lighting under the control unit to improve visibility during night rides. The ebii is also equipped with a rear collision warning radar sensor mounted under the saddle to alert the rider to the presence of motorists or objects approaching from behind. Collision detection functions and notifications regarding the e-bike’s status also offer greater peace of mind to cyclists for better anticipation of their journeys.
Visionary and lightweight design
Weighing only 16 kg, the robust and compact aluminum alloy frame is optimized for a stable yet maneuverable riding experience. Its understated yet remarkable look is characterized by rounded edges and a matte white finish. The semi-transparent headlight also adds to the ebii’s contemporary visual identity, while the LED screen, located on the handlebars, clearly displays essential information.
Easy and durable maintenance
The ebii’s solid tires are safe for high-speed riding as they are made of multi-layer foams for an airy riding feel that prevents punctures. Designed with sustainability in mind, the puncture-proof tires are also made from closed-loop recyclable materials. The e-bike’s durability is enhanced by a stainless carbon drive belt that requires no lubrication for maintenance. The removable battery offers more convenience and efficiency to users, allowing them to change batteries on the go and perform upgrades without having to replace the entire bike.
