Pinarello unveils two new models

With its X and F models, Pinarello’s news is buzzing. Indeed, with two models simultaneously presented, the Transalpine manufacturer’s news is at the forefront of new releases, representing endurance on one side and performance on the other.

The Pinarello X is dedicated to all cyclists who ride for pure pleasure, but still need the thrill of acceleration and adrenaline-filled descents. Pinarello has thus created a bike for fun rides and to offer the best comfort thanks to a combination of specifically selected materials, a unique geometry and an innovative rear triangle, which seeks the balance between responsiveness, performance and comfort.
Too often, bikes in this sector are heavy and unresponsive, but the goal here is to develop a frame capable of offering the pure pleasure of cycling with a racing spirit, but also the ability to remain comfortable even on the longest rides.
Alongside partner Toray, a carbon layup for endurance and comfort has been developed, with reduced vertical stiffness compared to the high-end racing model. And with nine sizes, every cyclist will be able to find their ideal partner.

Tailor-made qualities
Position is essential for comfort, especially over long distances. That’s why Pinarello offers nine sizes for the X model – more than any other endurance bike. Why? Because the brand knows how crucial saddle positioning is for a cyclist aspiring to great goals, and that’s why the “Endurance +” geometry has been developed for the new Pinarello X with such a large number of sizes.
When this is combined with the wide range of stem and handlebar sizes offered with the MOST range, it is clear that every athlete will be able to position themselves almost perfectly on the new Pinarello X.

Comfort without compromise
For the Pinarello X, the focus was on creating the ideal geometry for a comfortable saddle position. And the new rear triangle is designed specifically to dissipate vibrations, which means less pressure on the rider’s back and more comfort over long distances.
The Pinarello X also takes full advantage of the latest innovation in wheels and tires, as the last two editions of Paris-Roubaix were won on classic road frames with 32 mm tubeless tires. This definitively proves that when it comes to balancing speed and control on difficult terrain, tire clearance is the solution.
In addition, the exclusive design of the Pinarello X seatstays is slightly curved, allowing engineers to take full advantage of the special T600 carbon fiber layup to absorb vibrations even on the roughest roads. This provides increased comfort, without the need to resort to adding a mechanical damping system, which would increase weight and reduce performance.

Aerodynamics still matter
Whatever your goal, with the Pinarello X you will discover the pleasure of a frame designed to cut through the air. Integration is much more than an aesthetic issue, saving up to 5 watts compared to a system with externally routed cables.
The X series also features an aerodynamic seatpost, offering improvements in drag at the rear triangle, optimized head tube aerodynamics, and a tapered seat tube to ensure every possible watt is saved, helping you go faster and longer.

Pinarello F

Pinarello is proud to announce the launch of the Pinarello F, an all-new bike created to deliver performance for a wide range of cyclists. The brand has focused on the concept of “all-terrain performance”, because all experienced cyclists know that what goes up, must come down. For this reason, the Pinarello F is designed to excel on all terrains and is as adept at climbing at a reduced pace as it is at high-speed descending.
The F builds on Pinarello’s rich history of iconic bikes, passion and expertise.

Uncompromising lightness
When you’re chasing victory, every gram counts. But performance and safety suffer if frame weight is the manufacturer’s sole focus.
It is both restrictive and reductive to weigh the frame in isolation. For this reason, Pinarello believes it is imperative to consider the entire system: frame, seatpost, fork, handlebars and components.
However, here are the weights according to the models*:
950 g – F9 and F7
990 g – F5
*frames only in size 53

Most high-end road bikes from competitors are offered in a maximum of six to eight sizes. Pinarello offers nine. The reason? Because the Italians know how crucial saddle positioning is for a cyclist aspiring to great goals.
When combined with the wide range of stem and handlebar sizes in the MOST range, it is clear that every athlete will be able to position themselves almost perfectly on the new Pinarello F.

Speed as a goal
The results prove it: Pinarello bikes are among the fastest in all categories. From track to road to gravel, all bikes are designed in a wind tunnel, with the following characteristics:
– TiCr – Full cable integration
– Aerodynamic seatpost, providing significant aerodynamic improvement to the rear triangle
– Recessed down tube
– Aerodynamic head tube
– Tapered seat tube

A dedicated carbon fiber

The choice of materials profoundly influences the performance of a frame, and the Pinarello F is available in different fibers to best meet the needs of each cyclist. These fibers are supplied by Toray in Japan, the leading carbon fiber manufacturer:

– T900: used on F9 and F7 models, offering the ideal balance between responsiveness, low weight and vibration absorption. Perfect for competition.

– T700: used on the F5 model, it maintains excellent responsiveness and high performance but with a greater ability to absorb road vibrations. Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) is used to optimize each section of the frame to achieve the desired stiffness and lightness. For example, in areas where stiffness is prioritized, a high modulus (HM) fiber is chosen, while in areas where strength is essential, a high tenacity (HT) fiber is preferred. This choice helps prevent breakage.

Wider clearance without compromising responsiveness
The Pinarello F offers tire clearance for up to 30 mm tires, while maintaining a compact and responsive rear triangle.
The size of the rear triangle and the length of the chainstays of a frame are crucial for a bike’s responsiveness and handling.
On the Pinarello F, despite the significant clearance, the chainstays measure between 406 and 410 mm (depending on size). This is the perfect compromise between versatility and performance.

Integrated seatpost clamp
The integrated seatpost clamp on the Pinarello F reduces weight by 36 g compared to the previous model and
offers improved aerodynamic performance. The thickness of the top tube and seatpost are also reduced to further improve aerodynamics.
