Looking for a change of scenery just a few kilometers from Paris? Destinations Nature has selected the most beautiful regional parks in Île-de-France, offering rich and varied activities and landscapes, as well as a selection of nearby accommodations. Labeled a “Pays d’art et d’histoire” (Land of Art and History), the Vexin French Regional Natural Park is full of architectural treasures in a lush green setting. With over 1100 km of walks, you can also find museums and artisan workshops there. Comprising 70 communes, the Gâtinais Français Regional Natural Park is crisscrossed by three rivers. Its sandy soils have allowed, among other things, the cultivation of medicinal plants and malting barley. There are also riddle courses that allow visitors to discover the biodiversity or the artistic past of the area. For lovers of renowned sites, the Oise Pays de France Regional Natural Park is home to the Château de Chantilly and Abbeys such as Royaumont or Moncel. Whether on foot, by bike, or on horseback, the Haute Vallée de Chevreuse Regional Natural Park offers discovery routes to explore its forests, valleys, and meadows. Visitors can also take guided tours with professionals or visit farms. More information on getaways near Paris at destinations-nature.com.
